Hi! I had a quick question about YSL's Sunset bags. I noticed that online they only have Sunset Medium, but on other retailers' websites I saw that a Sunset Small does exist (only in croc leather or suede). Does YSL no longer make Sunset Small? Do we know if they'll be releasing in the future?

I'm going to my maternal grandmother's wake and burial tomorrow. I was very close to her as she basically raised me. She was over 100 so her death was completely expected, although that doesn't make it any easier for us. I heard there's a different dress code for immediate family, but no one is really talking about that for some reason. I plan on wearing a long sleeve black silk button up dress and just some simple black flats. My most toned down bag would be my Bolide 1923 25 in Beige de Weimar with GHW. (Free of logos, one color, almost unrecognizable to most）I'm concerned about the GHW being too flashy. What do you guys think? I've attached a photo of my grandma in her youth. She was always a fashionista, if that makes any difference in the choice of clothing and bag I will wear tomorrow. It's currently 2214 hrs where I am now, and I'll need to leave the house at 730 in the morning. Any advice would help. Thanks.

I have been eyeing the Vintage Alhambra pendant in 18K white gold, Mother-of-pearl. I could have sworn that the price was not an even $3,000, but I don't recall what it was just last week when I checked. Does anyone know if the price went up or down or was it always $3,000 and I need more sleep and less stress (or to just buy it already!)?

I found an older Givenchy backpack for sale on a resale platform (Vestiaire Collective). The inside leather tag has a hole on it. Seller didn’t specify why it has that hole.



Is this something the Givenchy outlet does maybe? Or bags that SAs buy—a mark for employee purchase? Or is this something the seller just did? A fake wouldn’t have a hole…?

I had the opportunity to travel a bit ago and went to browse the Chanel area of a department store.
I came across this light pink beauty, it has a stunning pearly gold iridescent sheen to it and the softest leather. ( the gold isn't coming through well in the picture but it's very obvious irl)
The sales associate was super nice to work with and just made it a very enjoyable experience for me.
The pearls on the strap do add some weight, but otherwise it's quite light and easy to wear and use.
I can fit my phone, small container of medicine and cardholder inside.
I absolutely love this bag and feel so special wearing it!

I am interested in a Chanel flat cardholder and saw the light green one with black hardware from cruise, but it is in lambskin. Can someone please tell me how lambskin SLGs wear, especially in a light color? I would like something that can be carried in my bags without worry of color transfer, damage etc. I do not own any Chanel lambskin so this would be my first. TIA!

Hi all! Trying to decide which Gaston Wearable Wallet to buy as a gift for my bf (pics credit Vuitton website). One is a grey monogram canvas w silver hw, the other is black leather w black hw. I thought I will go w the leather one cause more durable for sure but I’m afraid of the black hw how it will hold up… does anyone has experience with hw peeling on Vuitton bags or wallets?🥹

I had seen plenty of Miu Miu in the past I loved but never had to have until I stumbled upon something with studs and then I went on a deep dive. There’s a few other bags I want now but I couldn’t live without this beauty the second I saw her. Getting her was hectic but I’m so glad I did!

I’m getting so tired of seeing so many gorgeous, rare, special bags being cynically flipped as soon as they leave the boutique. While sometimes circumstances may lead us to edit or part with our collection, I thought we needed a thread to celebrate the bags we really love, truly appreciate for their beauty and craftsmanship and would never rehome! (Mods, I could not find an existing thread but apologies if I missed it.)

I have two:

1. My rouge H K28 sellier (K square) - because it was the very first bag I ordered from the boutique (and waited 4 years for). I love the perfection of the contrasting stitch and the sharply tailored look of the rouge H against the stitch and the PHW. I was told this bag was made by the only artisan who did contrasting stitch at that time (back when the atelier was smaller I guess?), which is why I waited so long. I thought it must have been cancelled and was so thrilled when it arrived!

2. My toffee K25 sellier in Peau de Porc (U) - this bag was a surprise offer earlier this year. I’ll never part with it because I adore the leather and I am looking forward to enjoying it as I develop its patina over the years.

I tried on the Medium 19 in several boutiques and really like the size, soft shape, shoulder strap, top handle, and large back pocket. Paying retail is out of my budget so I am considering selling my mini to fund a used 19. I have three quotes that are acceptable but not great, but still enough to fund a used one if I put in a small amount. I bought the mini nearly 10 years ago and have used it maybe 10 times. It is just too small. I bought it because I really wanted a Chanel flap bag and couldn't afford the medium classic. So, the mini holds some sentimental value for me. My concern is if I get tired of the 19 and would have been better off holding onto the mini as it's value keeps going up. Thoughts?

I recently lost my medium clash bracelet and while I still have the small one, I vowed never to get another medium. I did make a thread on that and haven’t addressed it bc I’m so sad every time I think of it.

Hi, I've been looking to get a everyday bag. This Tod's Di in size small has a good size and a comfortably wide shoulder strap. I tried it in store and have been looking at it online. Currently sitting on it.

What are your experience owning this bag or Tod's handbags from recent year? What's your opinions on quality, craftsmanship, durability, and wear and tear?

My Evelyn 29 was stolen and tossed into the woods several months ago. Fortunately some good samaritans found it and turned it into the police. It has sustained water damage with some warping of the leather. Hermes spa has quoted me 2k in repairs but also has a generic note that it may not be able to be restored back to original condition. Should I pay the 2k spa fee and hope for the best or just purchase a new Evelyn?

Yesterday, after much procrastination, I sent my bag to be serviced. I am having a new gold bar (magnetic clasp) put on and having the chapes/D-rings replaced.

Has anyone done this (sent your bag to the Atelier/LV to be repaired)?

Did they do a good job? How long did it take (says 4-6wks)?

For some reason, I am so nervous! I love my bag!

I am being provided with a certificate directly from them for each piece saying they have authenticated it to be real. Would that suffice for any of you to make a purchase?
