I love your advice and would truly appreciate it since you have amazing experience, knowledge of leathers, colors and taste. I decided on Kelly and it is supposed to be a pop of colour, a dressier accent on purpose. However, how would you compare the colors? Wouldn't they be too pale and too matte? I want a rich colour. (for example I like THE botega green, saturated). Also, in both colors would the colour matter much? Like e.g. Celeste is more suitable for 25? I'd be grateful! And I hope to use the bag for special occasions not only in summer. Just not in winter

I have been using the Diorshow brow pencil Universal shade for years. Dior has changed its colors. Similar ones are Brown, Dark brown and gray brown. Anyone done research to see which one is the closest match to Universal color? Thanks.

I know these are two different types of bags, but if you had to pick one, which one would you choose? I already have the Chanel Classic in caviar and tweed, but not in silk fabric. I also love the versatility of the Flamenco, but the price is quite high—$3,900 for a pouch bag, don’t you think? The prices of Chanel silk bag and Flamenco are similar. So which one I should get now?I’d appreciate your opinion!

I am very undecided re hardware. I gravitate towards silver - I am lately embracing a more punk look, similar to Olivia - leather jackets, Doc Martens, etc. lots of black. Think Wednesday Addams meets a witch meets Buffy lol. Anyways….

My jewelry is all over the place however. I have rose gold. Gold. And silver.

I guess more of a gold person… which would warrant the gold HW.

With winter coming on, my skin gets a bit dryer. I have let my legs go a bit with longer garments. That said, with the midi dresses that I am getting for this winter, I will need to show some of my leg unless of course I wear leggings all of the time. What would you recommend for dry skin when I shave them. It seems that there are a lot of men's products for shavings, but not as many for women. What do you suggest? Thanks.

For those who collect handbags or have a favorite color, I wanted to share a strategy.....
shop the sales and buy those special (and unusual) colors when you see them. Over time,
colors go in and out of 'fashion' and it's hard to find some of your favorites.
So, if you are a fan of teal and bordeaux/burgundy and plum/plum wine/purple, greens, etc.
then buy them when you see the bags at good prices, if your budget can tolerate the
indulgence. This goes for special patterns that are in season and then disappear.
Waiting for the sales, end of season, or out of season can make it much more affordable
to build the collection. Waiting too long can mean you might not see those colors or patterns
for many years.

I've seen quite a few treasures on ILD over the past few days....Plumes, Tartan,
teal, and plum wine.

Of course, if you favor the 'core' colors.... black, saddle/natural, red then you will
probably be able to find them when ever you want. But Dooney isn't making the
rainbow of colors in too many styles or leather these days.

Hello I was wondering if we could all reunite the information we get from SA / VCA about items that are discontinued. It seems a lot of pieces are on the website but not produced any more or almost not any more ; on the contrary some pieces are not discontinued but not on the website (as Le Noeud ring for example). I'm surprised that no one actually discussed about this, makes me wonder if I'm the only one. I've been an avid luxury collector for quite a while, buying a lot during my working single years and sold so many bags after I become mom cos I didn't use them as much. I am a member here in TPF for 17 years (joined since 2007), but I feel like luxury bags nowadays are not built to last with Polyurethane(PU)? I feel like so many luxury brands are trying to cut corners now and using PU as part of their material. Example, brand like Burberry are now made with part PU, even brand that I like and quite popular nowadays like Toteme also made with PU, Vanessa Bruno as well. Makes me wonder if they will start to flake/disintegrate within years of using? I'm not okay with that, and definitely wont be investing, knowing it wont last that long. I certainly miss the old times when bags are made to stand the test of time and made to last. Sad and how I wish these brands (and I'm sure many more that I'm not aware of) will bring bag good quality bags especially for the price we paid.

Please help me decide which one looks best. This is my first piece and I can’t decide. I dress pretty casual. Most clothes are navy and black. This would probably be the only necklace I wear everyday. Don’t know if getting the sweet Alhambra is worth it since it’s small and may want the vintage size and maybe regret size wise? (for reference all my other bags are black, one patent blue and monogram) . I feel like I will be mainly using this for date nights and weddings/celebrations.

I am currently looking at Chloe tote bags for work but I believe the medium one is too small for my 14” laptop and the large tote would be too big?

I want to reward myself with a new workbag for new work.

I like the Chloe kind of style, woody, etc, similarly like the Saint Laurent rive gauche kind of style….

I seem to only gravitate to hobo style bags and was eyeing this bag for a little while. I was seeking a cognac leather, lightweight shoulder bag containing a zippered closure and this bag checks off all requirements. I bought it just two days ago! I love the equestrian vibe and the detail on the strap. It’s simple, classy, lightweight and nicely made. I love the light interior but the lining, at the bottom of the bag, looks like it was pasted down which, in my opinion, subtracts from the quality. Other than that, it’s a keeper👍🏻

Hi everyone! I’m treating myself to a new grad school bag to carry a small laptop, planner, small folder and was eyeing the Neverfull in leather. I love empreinte leather but the new epi rerelease caught my eye. Does anyone have these handbags and which would you recommend in terms of wear, weight (I don’t plan to carry much beyond the above)? I do love the structured quality of the epi, but the empreinte is so beautiful to touch and I would use a bag organizer to keep the structure. All opinions appreciated! Thank you!

He got offered these two bracelets that are both GORGEOUS! I just cant decide! I am not with him and there’s no VCA in the country where i live so i cant try them on. Hi everyone! I've been away from the forum for a while so I apologize if this is posted wrong. I have lusted over a chanel classic flap for so long and unfortunately with all the price increases, they are now way more than I want to spend. I just ordered the one linked below from Rebag, but I'm wondering if I should wait for something different? The stitching is coming apart on both sides (and I don't know what that mark on the right hand side of the bag flap is in the 9th picture??), but the bag was under $5k and I was thinking I could use it for a while and maybe get it repaired? Is that a terrible idea? I haven't received the bag yet, but their return policy is short so I wanted to get some opinions. Thank you in advanced!

I'm in search of a vintage hermes (birkin or kelly) mostly because of cost but I also love a vintage piece. I need to buy second hand because I have no relationship with an Hermes SA - I live in Miami and the process seems really challenging here with a large prespend. I've been looking for a while and recently found a Birkin 30 in Black Ardenness from a reputable reseller. It's vintage mint condition but $15K. Would you pay this much? Any experience with how Ardennes holds up? I've heard it's a work horse! Does anyone know how much this will weigh? I've also been looking at a Kelly 28 in black box calf but I want to use and travel with the bag so I'm worried about having to be too precious with box calf. What do you think?
