he was sick for a very long time, but it's still sad

I know, I just heard. He was such a legend. It will be interesting to see if sales of YSL bags spike.

i heard he stopped designing in 2002. and sold his YSL to the same group which owns gucci in 1999.

i fell in love with tom ford's YSL. i am now curious about YSL's own designs.

i also heard that his height of creativity was in the 50s and 60s. he was made the creative head of dior (can't remember the exact title) when he was 21!!! he revolutionize how women dressed (the pants-suit!) - which may be the beginning of how we all dress today - and 'democraticize' high fashion.
