I was just at Rodeo Drive two days ago but only went into Chanel and got a beautiful star print top ...didn't want to tempt myself by going into YSL, Dior etc

Just curious, though, has anyone seen this (the star top, not the skirt) in the YSL boutiques ? (particularly Rodeo)




I think it's so unique. Trust me, I would wear it!
Anyone have a price? I'm thinking a ton, but I'd still like to know.
Its RTW, but is it only special order or something?
I just can't see a lot of them being produced ... or anything a lot of people would wear.


So if anyones seen it at least, please tell me!

Call around to a few of the stores. This may be the kind of thing they don't put "out" on the floor. Too many grubby fingers...

It's hard to know how to describe the top though on the phone. you know?
I don't want the SA's thinking I'm making up some crazy shirt.
A lot of times they haven't seen all of the runway and they make me feel like an idiot.

Do you want to guess on the price?
I know a few thousand at least...

its definitely a few thousand. I remember seeing some of the star pieces in a few magazines and they were pretty pricey.

But then I found out the price tag of this dress was $53,000. I see that now, but since it was RTW I wasn't expecting THAT much. But I see that he's incorporating couture techniques into this collection a LOT. Makes me wonder how much the pieces above are!



I adore all the star necklaces and sandal heels too!

Necklace is around $4,000 or $5,000.

Good for you for thinking about wearing the metal and plexiglass top! Clothes should always been worn, not just looked at.

If you want to talk to the salesperson, say it was look 32 in the show (according to style.com)

I guess you could describe it as a brass and plexiglass star motif sleeveless top.

Another idea is to find vintage YSL star print pieces online. I have seen a few.
