YSL Newbie - Advice/Opinions Needed!

Hi everyone! I'm a long-time admirer of YSL, but am about to purchase my first piece, and was looking for some opinions and advice. I can usually be found lurking around the LV area

. I hope this is not a repost; I did a quick search and could not find anything.

I am totally in love with the gold metallic Belle De Jour wallet I've seen on ysl.com. I was just curious to see if anyone owns a metallic leather piece/this piece and could give me some opinions on it. With daily use will the leather become very scratched/generally worn looking quickly? I've never had such a light piece of leather/metallic leather, so I do not know what to expect. Any input would help greatly!

YSL holds up really well and I personally have never had any problems. But due to the way metallic color is sprayed on, all metallics will flake.

My mom has the metallic reversible tote, one side is brown and the other is gold, and it is still in perfect condition.

Thanks so much! I think I'm going to get the YSL one, I'm so in love with it! I may use the LV one for every day/school/work etc and then the YSL one for at night, weekends, when it's not just being knocked around in my tote!
