LOL. I don't know, it depends on the climate you're in and how often you use it I guess. You can try and google pony hair maintenance. I heard about the fading for Goyard too and I think that's also dependent on how often you use it. But edges breaking? That's a quality problem there isn't it? That's assuming the bag wasn't abused by carrying extremely heavy loads all the time. I would KIV both bags in your situation. Pretty bags will always be there when you have the means for it, so don't feel pressured to make the decision now!

The edges on my friend's croissiere that broke were the top edges, so it was strange. If they were the bottom corners, it could have been abuse. And that's exactly what she pointed out when she complained. But they replaced it and put on her initials for free.

You're right... I guess I am unnecessarily putting pressure on myself for the purchase. It's just that I really can't resist a good sale! And 65% off is sooo compelling! It makes me want to run to the store and do a dance of joy...

i just purchased the large muse II patent w/ pony hair flap and i just love it! i was originally looking at a camel one but i just couldn't resist the patent/pony hair combo, it's understated glam, imo. i didn't really know much about maintenance issues prior to my purchase but i'm not that worried since i'm pretty good with my bags. i have read somewhere that ysl pony hair is well-made and tightly wound(?), i think it was cosmo's post, so that makes me feel better. time will tell, i guess.

i say go for the muse II but obviously, i'm biased. if, however, you are really looking for a more casual bag, then go with the goyard. good luck, tasche!

I actually don't get a lot of use out of my Muse 2 now, because I rotate with other bags (depending on my outfit and mood). But I am sure I would give my new baby Muse 2 or Goyard the same amount of attention I give my other faves. The question is still what baby to buy, since I have wanted a Goyard for so long, but don't know whether I should let this fabulous Muse 2 price pass me by.

Thanks for your thoughts!!!
glad to help anytime. i rotate a lot too, but would make sure to fit in the new purse here and there, lol. i didn't want to sway your opinion too much or anything before but 65% off is a pretty good deal and the bag is gorgeous!. and like you mentioned before the goyard will always be around and the muse II will not. good luck with your decision.... let us know what you do!
