Hi gr8heart...

I came close to bidding on one of this sellers bag when your comment stopped me from making a big mistake....thanks.
However, I was browsing around Bergdorf Goodman's store for a muse bag when i came across the same type of bag the seller showed... kinda slouchy, soft, smoothly pebbled leather (i'm not really good in describing). Did YSL, at one point, made this kind of model?

Hi Kaye and welcome to TPF!

I am glad you stopped by BG to get an idea of what authentic YSL bags look like. I am not sure what kind of bag you saw at BG, but I can assure you that this seller does not sell authentic YSL bags and has sold a fake Jimmy Choo bag in the past. This seller lists bags (fake YSL, fake JC's etc.) every couple of weeks and sells them for a few hundred dollars. Besides the fact that there are many signs indicating the bags are fakes, all listings are private and that is also a red flag.

Hi. i just bought the new Muse 2 from Rue La La. Anyone heard of them? Supposed to be a private sample sale online. I paid over $1,000. Just want to know if anyone has other experiences with the site, and if their goods are real.

I am a member of RLL, but have not bought anything from them yet. Their stuff seems to be OK, but once you get the bag, you can post pics in the 'authenticate this' thread and we will try to help you determine its authenticity.

Hello everyone, this is the first time I've ever written to this forum. I am new, and looking for a YSL downtown bag. I know there are several sizes, updates, colors, textures, etc. My question is this (as I hunt them down in different stores): why do some models have metal protective feet, others have two "snaps," and still others have none? I even went to the YSL website, but no help there-the pix do not show the bottoms, and the store ladies @ Saks, etc. have not been able to help-they just say they are different models. I have been asked by a BF in financial hardship to buy her new, unused bag from France. It is a black shiny patent leather downtown, oversized. BUT-there are no feet! She said she bought it in a small boutique that is an authorized dealer. She is asking for a bit less than what I've seen, but then I cannot find the exact same bag as hers (I suppose that's because it is from last year's or so)...Hmm...Could you help? Thanks so much.

^ It sounds like she has a Large Patent Downtown and I personally have never seen one of those without any kind of feet, so that would raise some red flags for me. That style typically has the two snap feet on the bottom. The four brass feet are on the deerskin Downtowns and some of the special versions.

Maybe someone else will know of a different version of the large patent Downtown without feet, but I haven't seen one. You can also ask her to send you pictures of it, and then post those pictures in the Authenticate This thread to get some feedback on the bag there.

Hi, thank you for your help. I am continuing to do a bit more research before I approach her about the bag. It's kind of a delicate situation...but I am sure I did see some YSL downtowns (smooth leather, I don't remember the size, but they were not the new small ones) at Gust, a chic kind of boutique dept. store in an upscale mall in the suburbs of Chicago (w/one also in CA) that is owned by Bergdorf Goodman. Does anyone know about any Downtowns w/out feet? I think I am also going to just call YSL and see what they say!
