im such a late bloomer!
im new to TPF and to ysl.. i just recently purchased my first ysl muse .. then i saw this tote bag somewhere here in TPF and thought i have to have one! i asked an SA in YSL in cabazon and they have a medium gold/brown and a large black.. im thinking of getting it but wasnt sure on the sizes.. can anyone send me a link of posts with pics of this bag in different sizes? im 5' so im thinking the large will be too big for me.. i also wonder, is it too late to get this bag?

The bag came out in 2006 and can still be found at the outlets or often on sale in boutiques. There are a few pics in our YSL Reference Library at the top of this subforum post pics of YSL DOUBLE bags here or if you do a search there are other threads. Sorry but I'm not real familiar with the two sizes.

That's a tough call because the large size is pretty big (I think it's 16 inches across) for your height, but I think the black/anthracite color combo is more attractive than the brown/gold color combo. The gold is a little brassy on this particular bag, although you may find it's a shade that suits you.
These threads may help you with sizing. The celebs are all carrying the larger size and in the_lvlady's thread she models the medium. YSL Double Bag Loving my Double Bag...still!!! |

If this is any help, I've been carrying my black Double from the YSL sale (YSL Friends, Family and...fur? Jinjy reveals!) for the past 2 days. I have the large version and I'm 5.2". The slouchiness of the bag and the size when cinched make the bag smaller than it appears when it is open and empty. I love that it's lightweight but still getting used to the lack of lining/interior pockets. I also like the convertible factor -- I have an event tonight after work and plan on turning her inside out.
