Question What is better - patent or leather?
I plan to buy White Ivory Large Muse.
What is better - patent or leather?
Advantages vs Disadvantages of each type?
HELP Thanks in advance!

I agree with June, but I love it in leather, soft, beautiful ivory leather

Leather (just in my opinion) seems more classy and worth the $$.
The only advantage (again imo) to patent is that you don`t really have to be as careful if a few rain/snow drops on it. (that would be a huge bonus if you live in a primarily wet city)
BUT as for dirt and wear, I have seen light colored patent with what looks like dark skid marks (prolly from setting on floors of bars/restaurants) that definitely won`t come off.
At least with leather, it can be professinally or self cleaned in most instances.

I only have YSL's in patent so far..and I must say..their patent leather is wow. Esp in the Tribute that I got. Feels like normal leather, honestly.

I know, I only once bought from YSL site, and that was small wallet y-mail, and had it shipped to a friend in the US, then he sent me, but I had to put his name and address on my credit card as well ?????? Wow

I would look at all the other options like I did for RG and found it one day on Overstock. BlueFly, mytheresa, Portero...they often have, and sometimes ebay for fair price. I will keep an eye on it and let you know when I see some good deal.

also try the Saks, NM dept stores...i think they do oversea...but the shipping is high....but i would try all the options vesna mentioned and compare the price...since Saks or NM may be doing sales right now....i think i've read it somewhere. just not sure if they carry YSL...

Thanks for the suggestions guys :) Really appreciate it!

I found a Philippine courier service that does online purchases for locals like me. They have a NY office that can ship the bag to their office here in Manila.
And guess what, their office here is right beside where I live! It must be a sign! haha

I will just have to pay for the shipping cost which is $6 per lb. Not too bad. I am so excited! Hope my purchase goes through. This will be my Christmas gift to myself! Haha
