Super YSL noob....need veterans' advice!

Hi lovely YSL ladies, I'm a total newbie to YSL cuz I just finished undergrad and am nowhere near financially capable of affording YSL stuff. My mom, who is more able to afford this but knows little about handbags, just happened to have fallen in love with a Muse while browsing at the mall.

So I know there's already a thread about finding a medium muse in white patent, but I started another thread because honestly I don't even know what size I'm looking for. All I know is that it's a MUSE and it's WHITE (not patent). What sizes do white Muses come in? Is it possible to get a white Muse on sale, or do they really never go on the slightest sale at all? What time of the year and where (what stores or online shops) are my best bet?

Please just educate me on the art of hunting down a YSL bag! Any advice/tricks/tips/warnings would be appreciated!
