Ladies, was in Chicago's YSL boutique yesterday and they have a lot of sale stock. There was a ostrich muse...in a reddish color I think...that was on sale. Not sure of the size. Maybe a Large? Various downtowns in different colors, some Besace bags, and the Calypso bag (which I almost got). Also, a large dark brown Rive Gauche. I bought a lighter brown one yesterday.

And, if anyone is looking, a really awesome turquoise and gold tapestry (fabric) small Mombasa. Totally cute going out to fancy restaurant bag. That was somewhere in the $700s.

I worked with Mary Ann yesterday. She was really helpful.

Marbella, I bought the lighter brown (a warmer shade than the chocolate, but not reddish at all) from the YSL Chicago boutique. I got the large size, and the other one I was considering was also a large. The price was $1099, down from close to $2000. Tons of drool worthy stock in the store. I'm still thinking about the Calypso!

The light brown you bought,is it also goatskin and smooshy as the regular black RGs ?? Would be great if you could post some modelling pictures. Enjoy !

I think it is goatskin, and it was smooshy. I actually cheated a bit, and had it shipped to a friend in Cincinnati to avoid taxes. I'll pick it up at the end of this month. I'll post pictures of my YSL family when I get them all assembled in one place (bags and shoes!).

The YSL sale merchandise was marked down 40% for at least a month so far... and last week they dropped things to 60%. The only thing is not all is marked down to 60 :( I was waiting for these amazing tributes to go down even more but my contact who works there says the shoes wont until there is only unusual sizes left. I work in high end retail in the same mall as him so he tells me everything...

Got it at Saks online - I think the sale price was $790 but I had a 15% off coupon, so ended up paying $670 + tax. I got it in "black", which is a dark golden/olive type color, and "safari", which is a light slightly silvery brown.

I returned the Safari this afternoon to Saks in NY, and saw they still have the "black" as well. I think it would be $790.
