^Yes, that's the "chain" version of the Roady. I'm going to merge your thread in with another that is dedicated to the Roady.

You might also want to take a look at this other thread, which has many pics of the Roady too: YSL FALL 2009 -- new styles and colors -- post pics and discuss here

Edited to add: I'd suggest calling a YSL boutique to see if you can track one of these down. (Phone numbers available on ysl.com.) This version has been popular because several celebs have been carrying it since the summer.

Yea-that is actually really pretty! I thought I saw this one, but I think I saw a silver textured one with the black handle....like this much better.

The chain Roady is SOO much prettier IRL...those pics do not do that bag much justice at all...very pretty on!

Stingray handle- This bag is in calfskin and has feet. The interior is dark suede and has a pochette attached in the interior. It is attached via a suede strap. It is not built into the bag. This was my favorite bag. The handle has a bling element to it and they assured me that it would not wear down. Fairly light and easy to carry. This is the bag Christy Turlington is modeling in the ad.

Stingray - Bag was amazing. Super hot and had texture. I saw it in a blue which was amazing. Lightweight.

Chain - super soft leather. The chain is in foam, which helps with the weight. The leather is sewn in the middle and it is considerably softer than the calfskin. It has no feet. It is heavier than the other bags. It has a satin lining. It is the same price as the black calfskin with the stingray handle. It thought I would love it, but I was lukewarm on it. The salesperson hinted that the leather was quite fragile and may not be a great everyday bag. The color is great, but since it has the foam chain and a lining, it is a bit heavier and the leather is delicate which made me walk away from it.

Hope this summary helps a bit. I have my eye on the black calfskin with the stingray handle. It pops and still remains super chic.

Okay...agree the chain is a little heavy

I just purchased the stingray handle and as you say "it has bling" and is absolutely incredible in person. It has a glittery effect, yet it is so sophisticated!!! I am thrilled to have been able to get my hands on it. :)

She is the best and you will love this bag. I almost purchased it, but received "the phone call" from my YSL Boutique SA that he had the stingray handle for me. So, guess what I purchased???? Yes... the stingray handle. The chain roady was priced at $1795 if I remember correctly. BTW:The handle was confortable and the leather nice and smooshy and it lies wonderfully against the body. As I said, I almost purchased it for myself. Good luck!
