Default Rive Gauche in embossed black croco?

Has anyone seen this in person? I am debating between this and the grey ombre. I don't know which I like more.

I've seen both in person and I personally prefer it in the grey ombre. It's not the embossed croc itself (I have a Catwalk in it) but I just don't think it's the best fit with the Rive Gauche. The grey ombre has a bit of interest, too, since it's not a straight solid, but in a way that I think works better with the shape and look of the RG. It's also pretty shiny with the glazed leather so you're almost getting a patent look with it if that's what you want.

It's all just personal preference, though, and in the end any Rive Gauche is a great-looking bag to me.

I've been pondering this myself. I never see anyone with the croc embossed. Are there any pics? I happen to love the look of it but wonder why I never see them. It makes me wonder if someone knows something that I don't??

That is what my concern was...I think I will go with the one I wanted first, the grey ombre.

I have never seen the RG in croc embossed....I have seen other bags, like the Downtown and Overseas, but never the RG.

If you are looking for the rive gauche in croc embossed, the san francisco boutique has one on second markdown as of this posting!

I have the opposite experience. I've seen/tried a large embossed black croco... believe it or not yesterday actually. They had a new shippment of bags yesterday in Grapevine Mill's Last Call Neiman Marcus, with MANY YSL bags. The RG was $12K, and I was drooling over it for 30 minutes. The bag is gorgeous. I did not like the croco on Muse, but for some reason it worked for me on the RG. Gorgeous!

Oops, just called back to place a different order and looks like its gone now. A man named Michael said they were never on sale, but had just spoken to Terri who said it was. A YSL mystery???

i have both the black and white embossed croc medium rg. the white one is on sale at the ysl boutiques, but not the black. they are carrying the blk over to fall/winter.

i'll try to take some action pics of my two bags, as i love them to death. i think the grey is lovely too. all i can say is, i love having bags that are classics but not everyone else has them.

I keep looking at the embossed croco in black and also the one in white and I have to say I really like them both. I like the structured look of them. I may get the black for fall/winter.

the black croc was on sale at nm but looks like they are out now. https://neimanmarcus.com/store/catal...0733cat7040731

sometimes when people return them, the item will show up back in stock.

Mine arrived today and I am in love!

The patent embossed croco is so soft. I didn't expect it to feel that way. I figured it would be stiff and cold but no. It's just like buttah! It's a breathtaking handbag. I got the black but noticed that the white came back up on the NM website for a few minutes today. I was so tempted but passed on it.
