Default Question about Capri Tote

Hello All,

I'm usually over at the Prada/Miu Miu forum but just saw this on BF today.

http://www.bluefly.com/pages/product..._id=2056196515

Does anybody have pictures of this cute purse? I think it looks very sweet.

Would the boutique have it on sale?

I would love any feedback or help! Thanks so much!

Well, that's the bucket version of the Capri, and I'm not sure if any tPF members have it. But alisonna did get the flap version. Here's her thread and some others...

Capri Flap Hobo - pics!

I played with both the bucket and flap Capris when they were first out, and what I would say about the bucket is that it's really open on top with a light khaki linen lining, it loses its shape when you put your items in and the smooshed/flattened shape when you wear it on your shoulder (since it's a fully round bag) isn't the most attractive look for it. But I love looking at it just sitting on the shelf, so if what I mentioned wouldn't be an issue for you, go for it! I'll definitely enjoy the pics!

The flap version (also on BlueFly) is larger with a slightly longer strap, and because it's rectangular it seems to hold its shape better with items in it and looks better smooshed under the arm if you wear it on your shoulder. The flap is also nice, too, because it makes it less open and if you have trouble keeping the khaki lining clean, it won't be as noticeable when carrying the bag. But if you're looking for something smaller and open, I can understand why you would go with the bucket.

Sitting on the shelf, I thought the bucket was more appealing but the flap just looked better when worn to me.

Here is what I got recently, a lovely bucket in silver. Yeah, I know it's gonna lose the shape if I put too much stuff in it (and I normally carry a lot of stuff)...but I just had to get it.....

I was so happy when I saw it went on sale...

Oh, it's really lovely! How much did you pay for it? If you don't mind me asking.

I'm not familiar with YSL pricing but would love to get the bucket tote if it's on sale.

I believe the original price is $1295 and it's now 40% off...I think the patent one (raspberry color) costs less and is also on sale. You can call Michael @ Houston YSL boutique, he's super nice.

Congrats on your silver bucket Capri, B & K! I think the metallics work really well on these bags, and after seeing the red patent on BlueFly, I had to remind myself why I passed the first time because they're just so cute!

This may well be my first YSL purse. I really like the bucket shape.

Does anybody know if YSL will have second markdowns soon?

But I think I'm going to cave since it's already on sale.

Hi spendalot! I'm happy to see you here.

Let's just hope this purchase doesn't bring DH over the edge.

PS: I love the picture in your avatar. That's a big big smile!
