^Travelbliss and alisonanna, if you are looking for a yellow Easy, there are still some kicking around from late '08 in the bubble leather. Try calling the boutiques and outlets. Pics available in Reference Library. post pics of YSL EASY bags here

thanks, Cosmo....
what drew me to the bag was the idea of a light-weight patent shiny leather in golden mustard...not crazy of it in pebbled leather. Hopefully more colors in patents are in the works !!

The yellow effect in the photo above is just "the lighting" :(
The black and beige (M) = $995
White pearlized/pinkish= $1195 (M)
They will be making black and beige in size S as well.
Tentative release of the patent is late Feb.

Y-Mail bag and clutch to be released only online in the new denim (you can see them now on website)
No word on the black denim capri bags !!
I'm so glad to hear Y-Mail seems to be sticking around . I really want some for my birthday (in May).

I read a while ago in Women's Wear Daily that Claudia Schiffer is the new face of YSL for spring.

Well if you google it now, a few of the ads are all over the internet. Here is one writeup from style.com:

Quote:
Claudia Schiffer’s Manifesto Destiny

As you’ve no doubt heard, Claudia Schiffer is the new face of YSL. Schiffer traveled West to be shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in the Hollywood Hills, where the house’s creative team made genius use of the sign’s Y, then echoed in the buttery caramel Easy bag dangling off her arm. We also particularly love this shot, a Style.com exclusive, for its witty synthesis of icons—the Hollywood sign, the house of Yves Saint Laurent, and yes, our favorite German über-model. This image is one of a few that may grace the cover of the house’s fourth Manifesto leaflet advert, to be passed out on Valentine’s Day.—Meenal Mistry

This is another ad that I found from multiple sources:

Love the Claudia Schiffer ad with the Easy! It looks quite big there! Is it patent?

I love how it has the longer strap. I would love to have a longer strap for my medium Muse Two. It just adds that extra chic-ness to it!

Bagsnob now has a review of the zip hobo:

The Zip from YSL

By Bag Snob Tina on January 9, 2009 12:00 PM

We are working on a super exciting bag project that I can't talk about until it launches but during this fun work, I've come across many fabulous bags to share with you. YSL has been one of our favorites for years and for Spring 09, the line offers simple and functional hobos without any embellishment (save for the Y bow bag which you will most definitely read about later). I know this hobo looks almost plain but notice the zipper pulls on the bottom? Yup, the entire thing unzips into a bigger bag for multi functional use! Now this is not a bag to use when you want 'wow' but rather a daily tote that will become a fixture in your wardrobe. Like that perfect cashmere sweater you wear year after year or the pair of black pants cut just right; in other words-- timeless and chic. $1245 for the beige patent leather, $1295 for the black taurillon leather. At YSL boutiques or check YSL at Saks.com for its new arrivals!

Wow, the Obi satchel looks HUGE and overwhelming on that shadow-model. I love the hobo's and I'm glad they're bringing back suede linings. Delicious!

Also, if the large Muse II came with a shoulder strap, I'd undoubtedly get that over a besace. Come on YSL shoulder-strap-it-up with that LARGE Muse II!!

^Yeah, the Obi looks pretty big. Its listed as 17"W X 12"H X 6"D, compared to 18"W X 14"H X 6"D for the Oversize Muse.

But what do you think of the Claudia Schiffer ad chinsumo??? I love it!

IMO, Obi too large and I am not crazy about hobos but I do like the patent version of the Easy!

Cosmo, I LOVE the Claudia Schiffer ad! I love how they utilized the Hollywood sign "Y." It's really clever and exudes glamour and chicness. I can't wait to see more!
