Default Not thrilled with my new Small Turquoise Easy
Hi! :)
I have been admiring the pebbled leather Easy bags, particularly the Navy and Gold and Turquoise....so last week I took the plunge and bought the small Turquoise from the Woodbury Outlet! However, when I opened up the package and saw/touched the bag, I didn't *love*love* it. Nearly every other time I have bought/opened a new bag, I am instantly delighted and excited by the new purchase....I am disappointed that I did not feel the saw way about the Easy.... Easy Owners, is it a bag that I will grow to love? Please convince me that this is a beautiful bag that I will love wearing! I've attached a few pics of my bag...

I guess I was expecting the leather to be softer/smooshier (It looked so yummy in all the pictures I've seen) ...and the lining inside to be the same smooth, soft satin/silk that lines my tribute instead of rougher canvas? Also, I am a little bothered that the pebbling of the leather looks different on one side of the bag than the other... (pics 1&3 are side1 and pics 2&4 are side2)

What does everyone think? Should I keep it and see if it grows on me? Easy owners, do you love your Easy and why? ....or should I try to sell it on Ebay? (woodbury does not accept returns)

Thanks in advance for your advice!!! :)

Hi! I think it's a lovely pop of colour but i am not a fan of pebbled leather on all bags in general, so... maybe the easy isn't so easy to love. I think it's a great classic shape and design though. :)

I don't own this bag but I did see it online and almost bought it. I was on the fence about the leather tho. You're right, it looked soft and smooshy in the pics and I'm sorry to hear that it isn't the case IRL. I do like the color tho.

Maybe try to use her for a little while and see if she grows on you. If not then sell it. It's too bad the outlets don't accept returns.

i have the bronze easy in the med. size. i love my bag, but it doesn't have the same type of leather. it does soften up and sags in just the right places. test drive it and if you do not love it, sell it.

I think the bubble leather is gorgeous, especially in this color. But I'm wondering if it will have the same problems with peeling as the bubble leather besace.

Hey camilliepoo, from the pictures the bag looks absolutely gorgeous! The fact that one side is more "bubblier" than the other is bound to happen, I don't think you'll find any textured bag where both sides are equally bubbly or grainy. I have the Chloe Paraty and I find the leather on one side to be grainier than the other. It's just the way it is.
That colour will look brilliant with almost any outfit, so like the others suggested, try using it and if you still don't like it, then sell it!

I just received the medium Easy in the black pebbled and instantly thought it would go back in favor of the nude or black patent. I don't know, just didn't thrill me. But...it is absolutely growing on me and it really is an "easy" bag to use. (I'm carrying it around the house with my stuff in it putting it through it's paces!) I, too, wonder if others had these same so-so reactions at first and then what happened...

Good luck with whatever you decide!

I must say the turquoise color is absolutely beautiful! I have the bronze volcano easy bag. I love everything about it. It's smooshy and sags in all the right places - sort of reminds me of the LV speedy. Anywhoo, the only thing I disliked is the inside...a lovely easy bag and yet they put canvas lining on the inside?! JEEZUS!!

Would you mind sharing how much it was? I agree with everyone and think you should give it a few days/weeks before letting it go. It's a beautiful bag.

I think it looks beautiful- I would hang onto for a bit, maybe try it with different outfits- hopefully it will grow on you!

Thanks for all of your advice and comments!!!

ACS, I definitely agree -- YSL bags are usually made of material that feels very luxurious but then for the Easy bag they go and put rough/stiff canvas lining!! :( Maybe it is to keep the bag slightly moer structured?
(I paid $599 for this bag, ~40% off retail)

I really do love the color, but I have been taking it out of the dustbag and trying it on in the mirror at home for over a week now and I am just not crazy about the bag :(
In the end I think I will try to sell it on ebay, since I have limited funds and I would rather put the money towards another bag I will definitely love.

love2shop -- even though I am probably not going to keep this bag, don't get me wrong, the leather is pretty soft and smooshy, just not AS smooshy as I thought looking at pictures....haha i probably got overly high expectations since the bubbly leather looks so yummy. maybe it softens up with time? (i also potentially have absurd smooshiness expectations as I dont think this year's balenciagas as soft enough lol)

Hey Afterimage -- I agree that it is impossible to find a textured leather that is equally bubbly one one side as the other, and maybe not even desirable for it to be so....but it is ironic that you mention the Chloe Paraty because that is one of the bags I am thinking of getting instead of this one :) Do you have both? which do you like better?

haha Thanks for sharing your experience Windy55! I'm glad to hear that you are loving your bag after having a so-so reaction like me :) I love the way you described how you carry it around the house to try it out haha.

Ahh now i'm having second thoughts about selling it!!! I'll think about it a few more days.... I have a Linea Pelle viola double zippy that I also had a so-so reaction to, but now I use it all the time, so who knows!

I have this lovely bag in black, it will get softer after you use it a few times. As for the inside...yes, they could have made it a little nicer but it gets the job done. It is a lovely bag I think you should keep it!

Gorgeous, gorgeous color! I generally like bags that are pebbled, they can take a lot more abuse and still look good. Good luck with whatever you decide!
