NEED HELP - should I keep this bag

ok, during the Saks 25% off sale I bought the Raspail large tote, in croco embossed red patent leather. I got an amazing deal on it and Im trying to decide if I should keep it. It's REALLY HUGE and it looks very plasticy (not a word, i know) Im not really that into red, and I have really been wanting a electric blue bag or even the blue-grey muse. What does everyone think should I keep the bag or just get what I really want?

It was such a great price I feel like I shouldn't let it go

That's not one of my favorite YSL bags, frankly. And it sounds like you are NOT into it at all.

So I definitely advise returning it. Get something you really want.

Plus, there are 6 Raspails on BlueFly right now, so its probably not the find of the century, right?

yes, I think it was $680...but I think everyone is right, that is money I could use on something I really love, I am just being impatient...I really want a new bag!!!!!

I like red, and I like patent, but that is A LOT of red patent, so you'd really have to love it to carry it around with pride.

I mean I could rock it and make it look quite hot...but even at my bargain it's still alot of money for a bag that I am kinda just "eh" about...I don't have the luxury of buying every bag I see, so my purchases have to really blow me away or be an exceptional deal

Have you considered selling it on eBay?
If you really don't care about the bag, then you shouldn't worry about returning it.

I definitely wouldn't hang onto it if you're not loving it, regardless of what kind of deal you were able to get. Rather than money saved, it's really $680 wasted if it's something you don't like and won't want to carry, KWIM?

I would just return it and use the money on one of the blue bags calling your name. Since, like me, you don't have the luxury of buying every bag you see, try to stick with buying ones that you really like!

Send it back...for that you can get something else the next time a great deal is offered! Heck, for that you could get the raffia downtown from the outlets! And have change...

Bottom line, nothing is a bargain if you don't use it. We all learn that the hard way. And we all keep right on buying stuff we don't use...:(

Tough call because it's a great deal. Personally I don't love the bag, so my advice would be to return it and become "friends" with a Sales Associate who would hold a bag for you when it goes on sale... so you can have the blue bag you really want at a great price.
