Have been lurking for a while, but now need to post. Advice Needed!!!

Am finally ready to splurge on a downtown... there's a medium patent leather one on sale that's red and it's beautiful, but I'm a bit concerned about the color. The black one is safer, but I already own a black patent tribute, so not sure if I should have two. Does someone out there own red patent DT and how do you feel about it?

I do not have a downtown but do know the pop of color from a patent red would be AMAZING! Plus...you already have a black patent YSL...

I like the black... I think black patent leather is a classic staple and can match with any outfit.

hrmmm i'm guilty as charged when it comes to black bags... i have so many of them.

but sometimes you just have to have a fun bag, and i think the red patent will give any wardrobe a nice pop.... and red will go with almost any color...

nothing wrong with having two blk patent bags, esp since their shapes and styles are so different. however, if that really bothers you, then red is a fantastic option, as ysl reds are really pretty and the downtown is a relatively not too blingy bag that a red downtown would be a beautiful match.

Oh, I wanna get a red Downtown! I think it's really pretty! I think it'll definitely liven up an outfit.

And btw, I have the medium black DT also.

I have red, black and fuschia medium DTs. The red is an awesome neutral and it gets so much attention from people. I get a million complements on the red especially. I would definitely go with the red.

I have the black patent downtown and love it. get compliments on it every time I wear it. the red sure is pretty though. I just opted for black cause it goes with everything, day or night.
