Congrats on your bag and on getting such a great deal! The bag is primarily constructed in black suede with patent patches sewn onto it, but the black suede is very forgiving. I've had mine (the plain black patent version) caught out in a downpour and someone even once spilled an entire martini on the bar where it was sitting and it survived fine after being blotted and airing out.

You will want to be careful with the flap, though, because it is calf hair and you'll see some bald patches over time if you rub against it too much. I would recommend hand carrying it or hanging it in the crook of your arm rather than wearing it on your shoulder so that it won't be rubbing against your arm or body as much.

thank you for the great tips!!! I didn't realize that the pony can "bald"... I will def. take extra care of it...

the bag has arrived to my US address now... so I really really hope I can get this baby by Friday!!!! eek!

OMG OMG OMG!

the bag just arrived at my office 5 mins ago... I must say I AM SOOO IN LOVE.
the second I open the dust bag, I was overwhelmed with the yummy leather smell...

I can't wait to get home tonight and take pics for you ladies!!

That bag is wonderful!! I have the "Miroslava" Muse II and they truly are awesome looking bags. You wear it very well!!!! Two thumbs up!
