It transitions well from the office out to dinner or just casual on the weekends.
^^I would LOVE to see your bag!

I read an article recently that called Muse "dated" and that the crowd that carries them is just giving off that "I am not aware I am hopelessly behind times" vibe. That was kinda harsh. I don't own a Muse but like the look and contemplated getting one. Now I doubt I will :(

^^It's sad that you love the bag - but now don't want to purchase because you're afraid of looking dated. I buy and wear bags I find lovely, not so that people can admire how I have the latest most expensive bag cutting edge bag. What a sad way to make your fashion choices - I guess you have to buy all new bags every six months then?

I think your post is the harsh one. I actally agree with not buying bags that look dated. Not because I need the "latest", I just want more classic styles. I don't want say, the LV Multicolor speedy b/c to me, that isn't classic at all, just dated.

I do think the Muse has staying power. I know that it had it's "day" as an it bag, but at least where I live, the Muse was never wildly popular. It is a simple, beautiful, well made tote IMHO and it will work for awhile. I still get quite a few compliments on it.

When I'm paying $1500+ for a bag, I do want something that has staying power. Example: Chanel classic flap. That is my definition of a true classic. It definitely isn't something I have to buy every 6 months and I don't consider it "cutting edge" at all, just timeless. I think your assumption to the PP was rather rude and condecending. I actually agree with some of your points as well, I just believe you could have phrased it much better. Simply put, definitely buy what you like but when poeple are paying so much, I also understand wanting to "know" it stands the test of time as well.

I just purchased a muse, and I thought about whether it would be dated. Then I think actually the muse looks very classy. It's not too exaggerated that even if it's not the hit bag now, it's definitely still a classic that I would be using for years.

ITA that the Muse bag is a classic style and will have a long staying power in fashion despite it not being an "It" bag. "It" bags will come and go, and not all of them will remain classic for years to come.

I never said I love it. Like it enough to consider it but never enough to buy.
