Default Large vs Med Rive Gauche

I just bought a RV tote and am not sure about the size difference between the large and the medium.

By medium, does YSL mean the bag that is about half the size of the large? Or do they mean an identical bag that is slightly smaller?

(I bought the camel colored bag on the left, the seller said it measured 13.5 inches wide, 12.5 inches tall, and 5 inches deep, this is different than measurements from department store websites, so I'm wondering)
TIA

The camel one is the Rive Gauche tote which came in 3 sizes. I think it is a medium. The black one is the Rive Gauche satchel and it is a different bag.

Yes, the bag on the left is a Medium Rive Gauche tote which is just a slightly smaller version of the Large tote. I can't speak to the authenticity of it, but it sounds like it's the correct style that you wanted.
