how stupid !!! I missed a dream bag ! Overstock people sometimes not helpfull

Hi everyone, just to share stupidity.

I had in my "almost posession" this bag below, my ultimate dream, from Overstock last night, for $1000 with all shipping and custom duties for Canada.

I had confirmation of order and noticed that shipping adress was added as my billing -I did not do that on the form, I know I did not, I entered two separate addresses.

I tried to correct it, went to their online chat so that a representative could help me do it. She suggested to cancell the order first, then subnit the right one. SHE DID IT FOR ME, and - WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ???? Entered to order again - SOLD OUT ! Of course.

Stupid me, I should have waited to be called by their billing department and correct the mistake.

Wow, what a bummer!

But I could not think right, my hubby was somewhere around my back in the room when I tried to order a $1000 bag, so I could not concentrate right and watch for him

Well, just felt like sharing this, and will look again and again

there is another same bag there right now, but smaller (I do not mind slightly smaller), but it is $2000 !!!!!, no wonder it is still there since last night

my dearest friends and comfort in purse "misery", something great happened just because paperwork is everywhere so slow, even online. They cancelled my order then, and it took them a day and a half to put it back to selling apparently (in the meantime I thought it was bought by someone) because it just appeared again early this morning with the exact same price US 890, and before I started work (now I was at work, and had few minutes before exam), I ordered it again. Since there was no comfirmation email, I called them on the phone (like a true addict, or obsessive compulsive...at this point I am both), and it seems like it is going to go through fine (not to jinx it).

I am so nervous and excited that I will perhaps, if all OK, see this bag in my hands. It will come to my work during 3 week holidays, but I will pick it up when I come back. Wow, I still can not believe. I have never had shiny bag, this is not patent as I understand, but glazed, and the color is like a siamese cat from the pics.

the story is similar, I ordered it to my work, leaving Saturday for 3 weeks, my shipping department guys will keep it (they are happier than me when I get the new bag - they get to see it first, and then we all pretent in front of my husband that I have had the purse for years)

So, I will see it in three weeks, can not wait

Muse is soooooo classy...what we need is modeling pics when you get it

I am very bad...when i want something and it's a good deal/sale... I can never pass it up!!!! guilty guilty guilty here.... maybe that's why I can never have a Hermes... hahaha too much waiting/saving!! lol

glad to hear it's a happy ending for you vesna...if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. i guess all the frustration and anxiety you went through will just make you appreciate and love this bag even more!!! out of all the bags from ysl, the RG is my hands down, absolute favorite. if they came out in colors and leathers in the future that truly catch my eye, i wouldn't mind getting more, that's how much i love it.

Hawaii is where I go every summer from sunny and warm yet unpredictable Canada to calm, swimming with turtles, occasionally making my DH go to some fun (my style) live volcano or finding bread fruit in Hana forest...we both teach and we NEED a total getaway from here as long as possible - we also have august free but he plays every year major Broadway musical production in our city for the entire month...THAT is when I walk my beauties around

when I work I drag to classes only "draggable " totes (I bought colourful Downtown so that I could feel cheerful), but my students started noticing purses - they are 20ish and very into fashion...my thing are purses and shoes, the rest is neutral color. As for working shoes for classes everyday (hold your breath now) All Star sneakers in various colors...I can not count

back to marking papers, we leave in 24 hoours and I have to post grades, and none of the beauties are here - neither downtown, or RG, nor the third YSL I snitched in the meantime off ebay - large St Tropez

Vesna, you rock girl! I can relate to you so, it almost made me pee in my pants! - The part about sneaking bags and making DH think you had it for a while because they are so clueless! So funny!!! We all have our obsessions for whatever reasons but it feels so good to know that I'm not in my own class that I have a following! Love all you TPF pals and enjoy your bag and your trip!!

actually, I need your name Bgaholic - my students had final exam today, and all I could think while looking at them, was about how to run to my office to check messages from mail room, but alas, my downtown did not arrive, the guys promissed to take good care of it until I come back

to be honest, that is the only think because of which will look (at least a bit) forward to coming back from Hawaii
