Default Help about Bluefly

All tpf members,

Was just wondering if anyone of our members has experiences ordering YSL bags from BlueFly to sydney? I just purchased a canvas medium downtown from them. I have waited for 2 days and my account status is still pending. I think I am beginning to regard buying YSL from the net as I usually travel to Singapore or HK YSL to buy my bags. Is buying from Bluefly safe?

Hi Air_Orbit!

BlueFly is a safe site that lots of TPF members order from. I think most TPFers have good experiences, but I am not sure about ordering from BF overseas. Have you tried chatting online with an customer rep?

I have chatted to an online customer rap, but I have tired emailing them, and they don't seem to provide direct answers to my questions, its like I am confuse, they are asking me to fax a copy of my verification and credit card etc. As I have no means of getting to a fax machine, so I asked them if I could actually scan and send them a copy and one of the rep told me that the system can't accept attachment. I am afraid my order will be cancelled but they just sent another telling me that the order was being received and under process while the first one I got was an email telling me that the order will under review?? I bought stuff from Net-A-Porter before, never had a review thing done. :S

Its normal for a US company. NAP probably ran the credit and fulfilled out of Europe. Here in the US, they do that out of Long Island City, so we don't have to deal with overseas things.

As for BlueFly...I used to love them, but my last 3 bags came with no security tag. The last 2 were shopworn and getting authorization to return them was a pain in the absence of that tag. I have heard alot of "no tag" complaints.

And shopworn bag complaints here on TPF. They seem to be getting sloppy. They take returns, but in your case, that could be expensive and very time consuming.

That having been said, I have gotten alot of GREAT stuff from them too.

Good luck!

Thank you! I guess I will just stop after buying one YSL downtown from them, you know I live in sydney the most 'fashion deprive developed country' on earth.

I've had great luck with BlueFly, especially lately with YSL as they have had so many current styles, but I can see if they came without the tag (which is really so useless anyway, sometimes being put on so you can't separate the handles & open a bag) ...
fortunately getting one without the tag hasn't happened to me yet. You just really have to know what the true retail price is or you may not be getting a deal.
