I am in love with the new chocolate grainy patent leather that YSL did the mini downtown bag in for fall/winter 08. Wish this color/texture was available in other styles. In the meantime, lovin' my large downtown tote in silver leather and waiting patiently to buy the leopard muse. GORGEOUS!

I returned my Coated Canvas Downtown last night (Nordstroms) -- it should still be there as they haven't been putting all the sale items back on the floor --

There is a canvas Downtown tote on the floor at the Nordstrom Rack in Sacramento, CA as of this afternoon. It looks just like the bag iluvmybags posted above, but the trim is orangish-red (don't know the official color, sorry!). Hope someone who has been looking for it can score it!

I'm not certain, but I believe it is the medium size (original price was $1495) -- because it's coated canvas and not leather, however, it doesn't slouch like the leather ones I've seen, so it does come off quite large

But you know, I'm only 5' and it didn't seem to overwhelm me -- I really liked it (but it was definitely large!)

The YSL outlet in cabazon is having an additional 20% off sale in the entire store starting on Friday til 9/1 (i think). There are tributes in white, black, silver, & watermelon green. i didnt ask about the price, sizes, & other styles available. Call 951-9228026 for more info & look for David.

there's also some downtowns on sale in YSL outlet in cabazon. they have dark brown & a large tribute croc embossed patent in caramel.

There are two patent downtowns available at the Filenes basement on Connecticut ave in DC. One is in black croc embossed patent, the other is in pink. I didn't have a chance to ask for the prices, but someone should snatch these up!
