Default Flap bag arrived today!
Flap Bag came today at the office.

Long story but I had one that I was supposed to get during Saks F&F event and save 25% but the SA did me wrong and sold to someone else.

Saks sold out of the bag.

But a good NM SA I know found one for me.

There were 3 left in their system as of last week and now there are only possibly 2.

Won't be able to open box & look at it until later when people have left.

Will post with some pictures by the weekend.

It was hard to decide between Flap & Roady w/stingray handle as they are both stunning bags but for me personally I think Flap will be more practical.

Photos coming but quick question - the sleeper bag it came in was a 2-ply bag: white with black satin but does not say YSL? Is that right? Thanks.

^YSL should be screen-printed in black on the dustbag, but it can be hard to see in low lighting; sorta have to hold it at an angle.

This is one stunning bag. The leather is just gorgeous. Both in terms of looks and the way it feels.

Having bought (and returned) the Roady, the Flap or Scoop is definitely more versatile in terms of style - for me. I wouldn't call it a every day bag as I think I will be limited to what will fit in it. But that's also a good thing because I won't be able to stuff it so full that it will be very heavy.

Also it is definitely more handbag than shoulder bag. It fits over my shoulder but it is not that comfortable and it definitely wouldn't fit if I was wearing a coat of heavy sweater. And who knows how it would feel with my stuff in it versus some paper.

I don't think the closure will bother me as it seems to stay fairly closed without being snapped into place so appears you could walk around with it not completely "locked" plus you have the back zippered pocket for keys or cell phone.

I like it a lot as I think it combines a very classic, elegant and timeless look but has a modern edge with the hardware and handle. The logo on the strap and Yves Saint Laurent imprinted in closure hardware is logo enough for me. And I like that it won't scream "expensive" bag unless it is recognized by someone who knows the bag. And I am more comfortable with that particularly these days.

If the leather wears well I see wearing this bag for years.

Happy with my decision & glad I was able to track one down.

I'm so happy you got it!! One thing I will say about the closure is that it can easily be closed/opened with one hand. I had to practice a couple times, but got the hang of it easily.

Also, I wear mine on my shoulder all the time. With a little weight in it the middle collapses a bit so it is an easy fit, at least without a coat on.

Congratulations!!
