Wow, thats alot of returning. I hope that you're happy with the Large one. I tried the oversize one on and feel that it's too big for me...
I am exactly the same way when I purchase a bag - I don't want one that has been bought and returned and I don't return mine. I take my time to inspect my bags and I don't really care how ignorant the sales person is. That being said, if the sales person is a real a$$ then I will come back and give another salesperson the sale. |

^ Yeah, had I been at a store in the first place to see each bag in person I wouldn't have had to do all this returning. My first purchase was Online and I was not familiar with each size. I doubted my decision so I went to NY where I felt quite rushed and pressured to make a decision.
After receiving the bag that was shipped to me from the store and realizing it was not in great shape I returned it (the very same day I received the package) and then bought a new one online, which then came to me with a pen mark on it. It's not like I can really inspect the bags that are being shipped to me, kwim? It is very much a trial and error process unfortunately and I learned this one the hard way. I should have stuck to my first instinct/ bag.. that one was the best. |

Hmmm, I've never bought a bag online - I think i'm to anal and distrusting to do so. However, I have been giving it serious consideration but reading about your experience totally changed my mind. They probably send the less than perfect bags out in the hopes that the online purchaser won't bother to return it. They are probably right in most cases.
I think that the display bags and returned items should be sold at a discount. Why would anyone in their right mind pay full price for a bag with ink stains on it. Louis Vuitton sells their display bags at regular price too - its ridiculous!!!! Good luck with your next one, I hope you pick it up in person and actually get a real 2009. Is there another way to check the dates on the YSL bags? It seems like those cards get switched around alot..... |

Actually the bags that I have received from buying online (other than the one that had the pen mark, which I believe to be a mistake that they were not aware of) were perfect and in immaculate condition. You could tell that they had never seen the light of day and were totally untouched!
Whereas the the bags I saw at the store looked like they had been handled quite a bit if not already purchased and returned a couple of times. I am sure there is an exception to every rule though. I bet when the stores get new shipments they have a great selection of perfect bags to choose from but I think I happened to be there when most of the styles were sold out between shipments. I think ysl.com and bal.com etc.. have a plentiful supply of brand new, perfect condition bags and I would not hesitate to buy from their online stores at all despite the pen mark on my last bag. I believe that to be a very isolated incident. The bag itself was perfect and I could tell it was not a reject or return.. I believe the pen mark probably occurred when taking inventory and unloading the bags out of the boxes etc.. I just felt the need to clarify because I don't want anyone thinking my online experiences were bad- quite the opposite actually! |
