Hi guys just beware, they are currently 5 fake YSL besace bag on ebay, the pictures looks like the one I saw on some fake china website when I did a image search on google website. Is there anything we can do like inform ebay about it, there is this seller from Australia, as I am living in Australia, I requested him to take a picture of the gold besace with the day's newspaper it order to get an actual picture and he refuses to do so, he told me that he didn't see the point in that. He kept telling me that he bought the bag in europe, I asked him how much and where he didn't replied anymore.

There are tons of fakes of so many bags! I have one Besace Gold listed and I didn't even post pictures because my pics are being stolen from my listings so they can list the fake bags! Whats worse is that people think these bags are real and are paying very low prices, so the real ones which are more expensive aren't being sold! YOu can always try reporting them to ebay but they always seem to pop back up.

Yes Brian, it is very popular. Celebrities seem to love this gorgeous, casual but classy bag and I also see many fake ones on ebay going for a few hundred dollars. Let us try to report these sellers to ebay and list them on the Hall of Shame thread!

I just reported 3 YSL bags there were on ebay. The copy of the grey besace is terrible

Too bad number 2, is sold, he tired to sell me the fake gold besace. I notice something strange the other when he said he bought the besace in sydney but there is not YSL shops in boutique and even David Jones (department stores that sell YSL bags) don't carry the besace. too bad the bidding ended with $550 USD

I too am curious as how can you determine the fake besace from the authentic? I just missed out on a bronze besace(ebay) because I could not tell by comparing pictures of the authentic bags posted here. It is hard to follow if you are new to YSL and very confusing. Also, the linings all seem to be different in all the colors. I am entirely confused! I also want a gold or bronze besace in large-which is no longer made? my only hope would be ebay and that is scary for someone who is not vey familiar.

^^ Your best bet is to post pictures/ the link to the auction in the "authenticate this YSL" thread and let the experts chime in. I am new to YSL as well and in just a short time I have realized that ebay is littered full of fake YSL bags. There are still some authentic and beautiful bags to be found on e-bay but you have to be VERY cautious and do your homework before buying. Definitely come here first to get the thubs up before bidding

Thanks so much littlerock! I am trying very hard to research the besace, which has been difficult not knowing the line. There is alot of wrong information on other forums regarding the besace. I have been trying to use the authenticate this thread but have already missed out on one auction. I am hoping to get a reply on one I am watching now...fingers crossed! Thanks again!
