Default Emma flap bag for fall--a few more details

Remember that little Emma bag that popped up on YSL.com a couple of weeks ago? Well, there's one available for sale now on shirise.com, so we can see its size (10" wide by 7" high by 3" deep) and its price ($995). Not bad on either score, I think.

Oooh, the dimensions seem perfect, and the price is right! I can't wait for Cosmo to buy one.

^I try.

Do you know when YSL in Friendship Heights will get their fall stuff in? I probably wont be buying a YSL as my next bag, but have been thinking about getting some small accessories (wallet/cosmetics pouch), preferably in the new patent colors.

Cosmo, you are cracking me up, you want every fall bag to be made in this color, LOL! Have you seen it in person? I stopped by NM the other day hoping to get a glimpse and couldn't find anything in it yet although they did have the new, small Downtowns and the leopard Besace.

Out of the Emmas pictured, I like the leopard the best, I think it adds a little something to the bag. I also like it as a clutch with the chain tucked in even though I know the chain adds some practicality.

^Ya see, here's the thing. I have this issue with buying two of the same bag. So since I already have a camel Majorelle, I'm hoping YSL does something else in this red--Emma, Catwalk, maybe even Muse Two/Forever... I'm just basically jonesing for a new red/burgundy bag!

Chinsumo, seems like YSL fall stuff is sooooooooooo slow to come in every year. Other designers show up in June, but new YSL trickles in during late July, August, even into September...

^I love bags in deep reds, too, so I can understand why you want to pick something up in that color family. I think that Majorelle has the same type of leather they're using on the small Downtowns. It has almost a pebbled coloration where the raised parts are darker to give it a spotted look and it's a lot shinier than plain leather. If they're using it for the Majorelle and new Downtowns, I think there's a good chance it will show up on something else, too. Out of the bags you mentioned, the Muse Two/Forever bag is probably the one I would put money on.

gingarita's pics of her sandal Downtown show the coloration well...

And with the zoom on the Bergdorf's page, the Majorelle totally looks the same...

^I've noticed that new texture too; almost reminds me a little of Chanel caviar leather.
