downtown lovers, please help.

hi ladies,
I am thinking to purchase a large downtown. I haven't had any chance to see it in real life yet (only the pics). If you own a large downtown, can you please tell me the pros and cons? Is it too big for a everyday use? Thank you so much!

I have a large purple leather downtown.(I think they call it buffalo leather) I use it as an everyday bag. I also have some medium ones. I prefer the mediums to my large. Partly because they are not as deep, and partly because they are raffia and furry ones and are not as stiff. They are more slouchy which I prefer. I love tote style everyday bags. They are easy to carry. The downtown bags are awesome because they are somewhat open but if you zip up the sides things don't spill out. The large I think will be awesome for traveling though.

I have the medium, and had been using it as my #1 everyday bag for months. Love it. I prefer large bags, but the large downtown was a bit too long.

I have a Large Downtown and I've used it as an everyday tote without problem. I don't find it to be too large but I generally prefer the larger versions of YSL bags.
