downtown lover, please help

hi, I bought my first downtown in patent pink! If I open it, on the inside bottem I can see the back of the protective feet. A friend of mine has a brown leather one and the back of its protective feet in invisible if she opens her bag... I'm a little confuse. Does anybody knows anything about this feet?
