Just in time for the holidays, the Rodeo Drive boutique will have someone on hand to outfit your bag with special skin handles—start by picking a bag, color and finish, then pick a handle made from ostrich, crocodile or lizard. It's like the Yogurtland of high-end handbags! Needless to say, it's also on the spendy side. Bags range in price from $1,195 - $1,795, and the handles run you extra, up to $515 for the croco. Wonder if you can show up and just buy the handles?

I just talked to my SA about this yesterday...you will be able to buy the handles separately and interchange them. Also, while this starts on Rodeo Drive it will spread across the country and all boutiques will have this available. Chicago will probably have it in December. I would assume most of Cali prior to that. Maybe after Thanksgiving.

NY has it now! Its fantastic! The SA showed me the book of choices. On display was the black leather roady with stingray handles. GORGEOUS! Its like having a classic bag with some pop on the handles.
