Hello! I am new to this forum, but I was wondering what would be the best spray protectant to use on my new YSL Muse bag?

Has anyone used anything they recommend especially for the Muse? Anything that did not work well (or discolored the bag)?

Thank you!

I used a light single coat of Apple Garde spray and had no problems with it (I did not use the cream--just the spray)

I also just bought a Muse and used it the very next day...unfortunately it rained and it left some watermark on the leather. Does anybody know what can I do to remove the mark??
Will the leather conditioner remove the slight scratches on the leather?

Susan-eric, does the spray darken the leather? Mine is the olive color.

Thanks in advance!!

Checkmate--it didn't darken mine. Every color may be different though. I'm not sure about the olive. Maybe do a test on the bottom?

I decided to go with Vectra Spray - I did my Muse and all my leather LV's - it worked great!

I have the large chocolate and haven't put anything on it yet. I've used it in the rain with an umbrella and as soon as I got in the car I wiped it off and it was fine. I do have a large plastic bag folded up that I keep inside the zippered compartment if I ever get stuck in the rain without an umbrella, etc.

After I got it I called the YSL boutique and asked if I should put something on it. The first person I talked to said "no" and I wasn't sure I believed him so I called another location and they also said it wasn't necessary. ???

I'm wondering if some colors are more susceptible to getting watermarks than others. The chocolate is very easy to maintain and I carried it for almost three months straight... every day... until recently and the leather is still totally yummy!

I did not use the Apple Guarde waterproofing spray on my Chocolate Muse, but I did use the Apple leather care lotion (moisturizer) on it when it started to look a little dry and faded. It worked great, and it helped make a few scratches disappear... I wrote about it in this thread...

gave my thirsty Muse a drink...

Great... thanks so much for the info. I bought all the Apple Guarde products after hearing about them here. Glad to hear that the lotion works well on the chocolate Muse. Thanks!!

I own the Muse, not the RG, but I wanted to tell you that Coach's leather cleaner is fantastic! Hope it helps at least a bit!

Hello! I am new to this forum, but what I have read so far seems very helpful. I have the cream Muse bag & I was wondering if anyone has used The Apple Grade protection spray or the Vectra Spray on that particular color. The girl @ the YSL store recommended that I spray it with one but didn't specify which one. Also, if you get something on it, what do you clean it with???

Thanks for all of your help!
