I can't tell enough about the bag to notice from the photo whether or not it is fake. But common sense tells me that unless the person stole the bag from an authorized YSL re-seller such as
Saks, Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman or just likes to lose money on every transaction, then he bought a fake at a really low price and is selling it for way under retail. ALso, when the seller seems to know the brand of zipper and other things ... that makes me think he is used to selling lots of bags and knows the buzz words .....
I have only bought one designer bag on
eBay and that was a few years ago. It was someone who had only sold a few bags and had several designer bags on sale that were her own bags, slightly used. That is the only type of seller I trust. I had that particular LV bag authenticated by Poupette for a small fee.
If you ask enough questions of the seller about where they got the bag, etc. it will become pretty obvious that it is fake. For example on one LV bag the lady said she bought it at a Junior League Bargain Box. So, she thought she had bought a bargain. The bag was an obvious fake but she didn't realize it and was selling it as real. She did remove the listing when I pointed out all the telltale signs that it was fake.
So, it is BUYER BEWARE on
eBay for sure. I personally would never ever buy a designer bag being sold as "new" on
eBay but would investigate further if it was something that was sold out everywhere and the seller was selling it
above retail...
