Hi! I know I'm a MILLION years too late (well, a couple anyway) but in response to the discussion over Evelyngun's velvet Mombasa evening bag: it's authentic. The messages and pics pertaining to this bag are on pgs 108 and 109 and I want to set the record straight because I have this bag. I bought it myself, in person, from the YSL boutique on Madison Avenue. I have it in it's original box with paperwork (receipt, cards, tags and accessories book from that season with yummy glossy gorgeous pictures of Tom Ford's magnificent creations...including this one). I don't know why it doesn't have a leather tab and is instead embossed on the satin, but mine is as well. Perhaps because it's a little, hard-frame evening bag? Anyway, I was looking for more info on MY bag and I came across this thread. This little bag is gorgeous and very real - if anyone has the chance to get one in the future, don't hesitate - you'll love it!

By the way, since I have the "book" of Women's Handbags from YSL Autumn/Winter 2002-03, if anyone has a question about a bag or needs a reference pic from that collection, I'd be happy to help out.

Further to the thread i started above, i would like to add that so far i have received very quick replies from the seller and she will be providing me with further pics to ease my anxieties...she appears to be a genuine seller. Hopefully it will all end up happy for both of us. Maybe I was too anxious to begin with....

just by looking at her feedback...i wouldn't worry too much about it.
