Hi malsrm! If the seller is refusing to take pictures of the serial number, then that's a red flag for me. Each bag style has a different set of serial numbers, so it's easy to differentiate fakes because they tend to stick to a few #s. Also, if there are plastic/glue marks around the edges of the tag (something that fakes will have but not the authentic ones), it will show in the pictures as well.

As for recommendations, I would say don't bid on the bag if the seller doesn't provide all pictures you ask for. You can ask for a close up of the serial # located on the inside of the bag, and also a copy of the paper tags. Which bag are you hoping to buy? For muses, I would recommend pictures of the stitchings and the lock/key. Zippers and bottom of the bag for the downtowns.

^^ I totally agree! If a seller can't be bothered to take clear pictures of an expensive designer item then don't bid. They should have nothing to hide if it's authentic.

Also ask for a picture of the dust bag along with the other recommended pics.

Thank you ladies for your advice. Very much appreciated!

Here is the ebay link. She did add some pics, but I have asked for pics of the zip and corners. I will send her another msg to send me a pic of the serial no.

Continuation from the previous post.

I have asked the seller to provide me with pics of the serial no. and she is insistent on not giving it because she is afraid that it can be used on fake bags?!

The seller has asked me to take into consideration of the 3000+ 100% feedback.

Help!!! What should I do?

^ Tell her she doesn't have to post it in the listing but she can email it to you privately.

I looked her up on toolhaus.org and while she does have a pretty decent track record considering the amount of transactions she's had she does have some negatives and neutrals:

The negatives are more about condition and I don't see anything about fakes. Perhaps you should also be verifying what condition this bag is in so there are no surprises.

Hi guys,

I received this in the mail, and I just wanted to get some more opinions on this muse. Sorry about the bad pics, the patent makes it really hard to take pictures of.

It was REALLY hard to take clear pictures of the Lampo zipper, but that is the part that feels the most off to me. Can anyone verify if this is real or not? TIA!

You can ask the seller to watermark the photo so no one else can use it and then email it to you.

Just to comfort you, the suede looks exactly like my gray besace YSL bag, the real color is the one second from the bottom picture, and all the details without the number look like my Muse II (I have in almond color). Cheers, Vesna

Thank you all for your advice. I have decided to walk away from this ebay listing. I do not think it is worth it if the seller is this unhelpful.

Please forgive my delayed response! Sorry!

Thank you for the pics...the one that truly worries me is the picture of the inside tag. It does not seem as smooth and 'crisp' as it should. Let me find a pic of another tag and post.

Feel free to PM again.
I am back online and will contribute to the YSL Authentication forum as usual.
Sorry for the absence!

I know I have pics of authentic inside tags somewhere, but I am in a bit of a hurry and found this one on ebay. Notice the inside tag, the sides are smooth and so is the lining. Please compare this to your muse.

Oh, and the muse this seller has for sale IS NOT AN XL MUSE!!!
It is a size large, not an oversize muse.
