The people making fakes do a very good job of it these days. They know all the things people are looking for so they duplicate the bag.... just usually with inferior materials, poor stitching, etc. I don't see anything about the bag that looks odd. I tend to look at the seller and where the bag came from originally, etc.

Nothings screams at me that this is a fake, but there are some wrinkles in the bag, Looks like it may have been used some. With use the leather can pucker some and sag some, but this has alot for a new bag if that is what this is. Check it out good!

See if you can get closeups of the front of the tag and the embossed signature on the front of the bag. In some of the fakes, the font doesn't align properly. I'm confused though by her comment that the leather is strong smelling. I have 2 Muses and I've had other buffalo bags by YSL and none of my bags has ever noticably smelled. So what does she mean by describing her listing that way?

You know though that this is not the Muse--right? It's a similar style--but with different design on the exterior.

My concerns are:
1. The information mentions a shoulder strap. The regular Muse does not come with a shoulder strap.. does this version?

2. There appears to be a low starting price and I don't see any info on a reserve. The seller sure is taking a huge chance on getting a decent price if they indeed paid big bucks for the bag.

3. My philosophy on buying designer items from eBay is to consider it fake and the seller has to convince me otherwise. On this one, I'm not convinced.

The seller has done nothing to convince me it is real. Photos can only do so much. Fakes are very good these days and photos of fakes often look perfectly fine.

Before I would purchase this I would want to know where the seller purchased the bag. If she says it was a gift, I'd be very suspicious. And the main reason why I think it is fake: It has a "Buy It Now" for $349!!
