Bunnygirl--welcome! No--The round rings should not say YSL. Did you notice that the seller has private feedback? That's not a good sign. I'm not familiar with the style posted and can't offer more input than this. The photos aren't showing at the moment anyway.

Hello friends,
Can you help with this listing? eBay: YSL OVERSIZED BLACK MUSE. FROM LONDON (item 260045490063 end time Oct-26-06 09:08:03 PDT) The seller says she doesn't have the original receipts-she buys from clients and re-sells. Does it seem authentic to you all? |

ok - turned out the bag is not authentic afterall. The YSL logo on the lock barrel is not the same was the authentic bag, which I took a picture of and sent to the seller. she agreed to to mutually end the sale. she was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the whole process though - i think she may not know that the bag was not authentic - it was a really, really good replica to be sure....

I'm also very suspicious when they say they got it as a gift so they don't know where it came from, etc. |

I don't like buying from someone who gets bags from others... unless she has authenticated the bag how does she know it is real? ALso, do those "rich 'it' girls" she mentions really sell their bags? If they are so rich, wouldn't they keep the bag? (And if they are so rich, if they were charitable, they'd just give it to someone rather than selling it.) ALSO, there are plenty of rich people who don't believe in spending a lot of money on bags and buy fake. I know someone who is very, very wealthy and she has fake LVs. She has a source in a nearby town and buys them as gifts for people. SO, if one of those people didn't know any better and sold the bag on eBay, they would likely sell it as real...... |

Hello, I'm new, and considering getting a white oversized muse. I know this listing is over, but am in contact with the seller and would appreciate opinions on authenticity. Thanks!

1. Was this her personal bag? 2. Where and when was it purchased? 3. Did she purchase it herself or was it a gift? 4. Does she have the sales receipt? The things I like about the listing is that she apparently owned this herself and used it a couple times. She does not sell a lot of bags. If she purchased it from a legitimate source such as YSL boutique, N-M, Saks, etc. then it may be the real deal. |

Thanks for all the great advice! She said it was a gift from a friend in New York, and had the authenticity card and dustbag but no receipt. If true, we should all have friends like that, but I wonder.

If the friend had bought it at Saks or NM, I think it would have been known... same if at the YSL boutique... I would never buy a bag where the authenticity could not be verified by the seller. |
