Default anyone has this RG - is it patent?
Hi, I am searching for this bag, but I do not know and can not tell from the pics if it is patent or glazed, or what? I do not like patent. If anyone has seen this one IRL, please, help me by describing the look of the leather.

Seen it in a photo on overstock--I think they say it's "glazed" but I've never seen it IRL. It is pretty!

Thanks, I think so too, I just saw it on BlueFly, and it does say glazed in the description...that is nicer than patent in my opinion ...thanks

its not patent, just glazed so it is more scratch and stain resistent. beautiful bag. still leathery and flexible, but not like BV buttery soft obviously.

It's still in Overstock.com, however, it is selling for $1500 which seems steep since the YSL stores have had a sale on all their bags! I just bought the medium in chocolate for $999 and the large one is selling for $1,099. I think you might still be able to buy it on line at the YSL site. I believe that particular color is discontinued so if you keep it under your favorites and keep an eye on it every day, I am sure the price will drop. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the tip. I use overstock because they do ship to Canada and calculate duty and shipping to pay up front...YSL do not ship to Canada, I have to go through my aunt in Boston, and this is waaaaay to much monet for my family to find out how much I spend on purses

thanks, it is steep, and the one I lost was CAD 1000, which was dream price (US 800, last night, that one is gone). I was whining about that loss a few posts down Cheers, Vesna

Vesna, I have the exact RG. I bought it last Winter at YSL store. It is glazed, not patent. It's leather but has some shine to it (not too shiny). It's ombre so the center is lighter than both sides. The leather is not so soft like other RG.

thanks so much mijou, I appreciate your description indeed, I am three weeks fro receiving it into my hands...I could not imagine glazed, because I have regular leather ivory RG. I like that it is not soft but glazed and not so sensitive. I need everyday bag, and I think this one will do great.

Does it slouch at lesat a bit whan it is not full? I love how OR slouches a bit. If not, OK too, just wondering

cheers Vesna

Vesna, I don't keep my bag filled to the max because then my back goes out. So I just keep my essentials, lip gloss, wallet, sun glasses, glasses, tissues, keys and the bag does have a nice drape on the sides. It is subtle but distinctive. What I'm starting to really like a lot about the bag is I don't see it coming and going. It stands out in a subtle way I am now saving up for a soft (deerskin) Prada or if Bottega Veneta ever lowers their prices, a large Veneta. - I guess I'm not a loyal brand person. I just love beautiful expensive bags. Ironically enough, I never had a vengeance for a Hermes Birkin or Kelly bag or Vextra. I don't like bags on me that have too much structure and that are stiff and tailored. I'm a free spirited person and very casual and easy going so I love the RG!

I have very similar thinking about the bags, and I love that it has some drape on the sides, as my ivory loks great. I love the style and as for being loyal, I love several special and unusual Miu Miu styles I have, I am looking for Fendi oversize clutch if ever cheaper than 2000 anything that is inbetween slouch and refinment...like YSL suede fringe hobo - looks casual, yet expensive casual...thanks for the description of the bag..I love it more and more and can not wait to get it..cheers, V
