Thank you so much for posting your new bag & a special thanks for posting the closeups. I've never seen Goyard IRL but those last pictures really helped to show how gorgeous those bags really are.

Talking Re: goyard croisiere & more?
hi yed. im a huge goyard fan! and im really happy to see you have bought the croisiere. Goyard is becoming very popular so get ready to start getting them authenticating on ebay. Ive been dying for goyards Ambassade, but the one from Mastermind, the japanese designer that paints skulls on them? yeah him! but they are super rare. (i also wanted to say that i LOVE your pants. who designed them?)

I kinda consider myself a goyard and louis junkie though my bag collection is mainly mainstream, consisting of prada, gucci, and vuitton.
I wish i had something from GOYARD (that darn ambassade or croisiere) but the price tag is a bit out of my range right now.

I must say though, that The quality of craftmanship of LOUIS VUITTON is much superior to that of GOYARD, in my opinion. My friend bought with me on our last trip to Europe your same bag. The bag was/is a dream. Its spacious and feels like heaven in your hands. But unfortunately over 4 months of some usage (maximum 10-15 times) the bag's chevron started peeling slightly. Just two small locations on top, nothing big, nor too noticeable. I ca imagine that with abuse this should happen but my friend is probably the most anal friend i know. She has several epi vuittons from the late 80s, and they dont even have noticeable wrinkles or cracking/chipping on the leather, even though they have been used alot. and though epi leather doesnt age to the extent that of the mono.canvas does, it still is a 20+ year old bag. Well after we threw our fit, we called goyard paris. we had a bit of trouble getting through to the SA so we asked for the manager. After explaining what happened, they just went ahead told us to send it in with the receipt and that they would send us a new one. THANK GOD. Anyway, this is not uncommon for goyard. Ive encountered people online, on other fashion forums, that talk about this being one of the drawbacks of the hand painted bags especially GOYARD. which had brought me to my conclusion on the quality of craftmanship for each atelier. the replaclement hasnt had any problems at all though she has barely used it due to fear of damaging it.

This hasnt affected my admiration for goyard but i do double think before i purchase it. i still love mastermind's goyard bags <3333

and i just wanted to let you know that i am not hating on your bag. i love it, but wanted to refer a word of caution since you have thought of it as a daily bag.

ps. you should see if goyard can paint your initials or the crown (only for nobility but sometimes they will do exceptions) or maybe even the mastermind skull.

here is the skull i am talking about in several different models, sizes, colors, and styles.

in the last picture, the right most bag, is the ambassade. Ive seen it, and prefer it without the GOYARD, but the skull gives it a young and hip look to a classic and sophisticated bag. yet in contrast, I LOVE THE ROLLING BAG JUST THE WAY IT IS. Perfect with a Mono.Canvas Keepall 55 on top.

hey! not a problem. i understand your concerns. i am slightly a bit cautious when using it. thanks actually for sharing such information. but it is good that they replace your bag after what happened. i mean they should after investing so much for their bags and it will just come out like that after several uses.

i still like my louis vuittons as well. i have two and still looking to buy more of them but i still have intentions of getting more goyards! haha.

ya, the skull and bones is a nice detail but for now i want to keep it clean. maybe on my next purchase or something...hehehe...yup it looks hip actually with that detail but maybe for mine, i will have it in a smaller size, a bit discreet perhaps and maybe place it like off center or something. and ya, putting the word 'goyard' is a bit too much. i like it more subtle.

by the way, i had my pants made by this local designer (filipino) named Joey Samson. he is really good, his designs are geometrical and architectural in a way. he is getting quite famous here in the Philippines.
