Default Purplewithenvy's Lovelies!

I bought my first "designer" bag when I was a junior in high school. I bought a purple Coach Signature Duffle bag. It is such a great size, and fits nicely over the shoulder. I love this bag!

Next, during that summer ('05) I bought the large Scribble Wristlet. I have worn this thing to pieces and it got so dirty I even had to put it in the washer! Haha but she still survives and is a great size.

At the beginning of my senior year, my mom and I went out to the new outlet mall that had opened and I got my Hamptons Weekend Tote. I adore this bag and it's perfect for the beach because of the waterproof material. It is also cool because it is reversable, so you can get two prints out of it!

Right way:

Inside Out:

Also during my senior year of high school I bought my Signature Stripe Wristlet. This is the PERFECT size for going out. It fits your camera, some money, a key, and chapstick. I put my phone in my back pocket, and I'm good to go! This guy is a little loved too.

During my freshman year of college in November right before Thanksgiving I had been saving up and I bought myself the Signature Gallery Tote and the Hamptons Signature Checkbook Wallet. This was a great choice because it is so classic in the khaki/camel color, and the wallet had a red trim which made it pop but still match.

I didn't buy another bag for quite some time. During my freshman year of college I began to want something other than Coach. I just felt that everyone had the monogram print, and I wanted something no one else my age had; a Balenciaga. I had been obsessing over Mary-Kate's Pistachio one forever, and finally in January '08 (when I joined tPF) I did some research and bought my first Bal, '07 Vert D'eau City from Aloha Rag. I cannot tell you how pleased I have been with this bag. The leather is amazing, and the color is the perfect easter egg, mint ice cream green. Amazing for summer and spring time!

I always said, "If I'm going to spend $1200 on a bag, I'm not getting black". Well, never say never folks. Say hello to my next purchase about 2 months later, Miss '05 Black Balenciaga City. She is preloved from a wonderful tPF'er and leather is TDF! So smooshy and chewy and just PERFECTLY broken in for me!

After the Bal binge, I saw one day LC's Wine Nikki and knew I had to have it. Once again, thanks to tPF for their research, I found out it was Rebecca Minkoff. I had mine special ordered and I couldn't be happier with this bag. Great size, HUGE (which I love) great neutral, dark red.

My most recent purchases were just 2 weeks ago in Florence, Italy. I knew that while I was over there I was going to buy one nice bag, but I wasn't sure which kind. I was thinking it was going to be a Chanel, but right now at this point in my life (I'm 19) it isn't something I can afford, and I buy all of my bags myself along with pretty much everything else. So I looked into Gucci, Prada, and Fendi but in the end it was the LV that caught my eye. I had tried on a ton of bags; mono neverfull MM & GM, mono speedy 30 &35, damier 30, mini lin 30, etc. I was down to choosing between the mini lin speedy 30 and mono speedy 35. I chose the mono 35 because it was more classic, and more durable. When I was going to pay, the wallets caught my eye. Dang it haha. My friend who was with me had just bought a Prada wallet, and was like "Dude just go for it. It's classic, and something to last you forever". So I did it. I bought the Mono pouchette wallet with zip pocket. It's PERFECT! I love them both!

thank you so much sweetpurple, savhgirly, avedashiva, & judypie!

jesw1--The Balenciaga's are my favorite too I can't choose between the black and VD, because VD was my first one, but black is so classic and amazing! Both are great! I do make a lot of money haha but I also don't have to pay for anything either! I pay for gas and car insurance but other than my own personal wants (like clothes, food, renting movies, hanging out with friends, etc.) I don't pay for anything. School is being paid for by my parents (thank god, bless their hearts I would die with loans and doing that on my own) and with school comes a place to live and a meal plan and blah blah blah. So yeah, my money is mostly play money, and purses are what I love to spend it on

latestobsession: Thank you for your sweet comments! I want so many things, but I have (surprisingly) tried to be smart about my choices. So as much as I want so many crazy colored bags, I would rather get a few pop colors yet something that is able to go with a lot of things, KWIM? I'm hoping these bags will last be a while and maybe eventually passed down!

What a great collection! The green Balenciaga is TDF!

I know how you feel about everybody on campus carrrying Coach. While I love my Coach pieces and they have served me well, I'm saving up for an LV upgrade!

Thanks for sharing! I'll try to post my collection this evening!

Beautiful collection ... especially love that VD city! I've always loved that color ... those pics of Mary Kate and her pistachio started it for me too. Love your 05 city as well ... the leather looks so soft and smooshy!

Thanks everyone my Bals are my favorite bags too. I was gone in Italy for 7 weeks and didn't bring a purse because I didn't want something to happen to it (and thank God I didn't bring one, a girl in my group's entire purse got stolen with her CCs camera and social security card in it) and I forgot how smooshy and amazing the leather was on my VD! I cant stop carrying her and touching her!
