Hello everyone! My name is Margaret and I've been on TPF for many years now. I've had the chance to interact with so many great people, and the resources available in all of the threads have helped me make more informed decisions about my "big" purchases.

I created a bag showcase when I first joined in 2007, but many things have been sold and added since then, so Vlad so kindly deleted my old thread so that I could make a new one!

A little about myself: I am currently 19 years old (but turning 20 in 3 weeks!) and a rising junior in college. My love for purses began when I was gifted my first "designer" item at the age of 13, and has steadily grown (and expanded) since then. I've worked every summer since entering high school, so many of the pieces you will see in my collection are the results of saved paychecks and allowances.

This is the first ever "designer" item I ever owned, which I received when I was 13 years old. It's a simple black leather Coach wristlet that I still use to this day. I love it because it matches many outfits, can be dressed up or down, and is roomy enough to hold the essentials. Plus, even after 6 years, it doesn't show a single scratch on it, despite how frequently I have used it.

Michael Kors Hamilton Quilted Crossbody... love the color of this bag, and it's perfect for going out. Can be dressed up or down, and the chain strap is a beautiful detail.

Vintage Dooney & Bourke crossbody that I don't wear often. It was given to me by my mom, and I love how beautifully the leather has aged.

My 1991 Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy 25 that I purchased after saving up for some time. I love the patina on the handles, and that it has a history. It's in gorgeous shape for being older than I am!

This is actually supposed to be my college graduation gift from my parents. My mom was making a purchase at Chanel one day and decided to (prudently) avoid future price increases by just buying it for me now. The deal is that I'm not allowed to bring it outside of the house until I've got my degrees in hand It's going to be a long two years of waiting!
