kimmy - I know it's a tiny collection compared to yours. I've been collecting for about a year and a half. I used to have Dior and Fendi, but now it's just LV. I'm like an addict when it comes to these bags.

Hi, BagLady14! My screen name is baglady...too! I hope the other members don't get us mixed up. Anyway, welcome aboard!

BagLady14, we also have something else in common...LV. I own a few LV pieces myself. I own a Lussac, ellipse backpack, cerises pochette, a multicolor mini hl, monogram canvas cosmetic pouch, and a monogram canvas Speedy 25. Strangely enough, the backpack is the only LV I ever used.

By the way, I love your graffiti pochette! Just curious, are the two bags in the pic (w/ dark straps) vintage pieces?

I know what you mean by addiction with LV, I have been collecting since october 2003 - my first piece was the CB pink pouchette which I no longer have. are you looking to branch out into different designers, or do you think you will stick with LV. I just love lV and it will always ne my number 1 , but I think I need something different, I so want a chloe paddington LOL

saying that I recieved my fuchsia broome wallet through the post on Monday , and it so gorgeous - I must take some pics :)

Re: the two bags with the darker leather straps/trim...
The smaller one on the right is from 2002 and is called a Bordeaux Pochette. I bought it used and had it authenticated by mypoupette.
The other bag, on the right is a Monceau and is still currently available in the LV catalogue as well as through eLUXURY. When you go to eluxury you have to type Monceau into the search box for the bag to be displayed. Even though eLux describes the leather as 'natural cowhide' that is incorrect, as explained to me by the LV salesperson. It is actually died calfskin. It came with two keys for the s-lock closure. I use this bag when it's wet outside since you don't have to worry about stains.
The Yoga bag is called the Dhanura PM. This Epi bag comes in three sizes. The PM is small at only 13 inches wide and 5 high. I love it, though. I wanted it for months and decided to sell a few LV items that didn't work out for me. I sold the Vavin PM (too open, everything fell out), the Danube (this was my first LV and although cute, was too small for everyday use), and I also sold my Porte Monnaie Accordion wallet. I used the money to buy the Dhanura.
I have the Cerises compact zip wallet. I use that wallet with all of my bags. I also have the mini pochette for my cosmetics. It's the small version pochette with the chain instead of the leather strap.
Oh, and I also have the "Fortune" key ring.

BagLady14: out of curiousity, what is the yoga mat that came with the dhanura made out of, and do you find it works well as a yoga mat ? I've always been so enamoured with the bag since it came out a few years ago, but I've never actually discussed the bag with anyone that owned it !

There are three Dhanura bags. The PM, the medium or MM and the GM. Only the GM is meant as a gym/yoga bag and comes with a mat.
I saw the GM in red when I bought my PM bag in Boston. It is huge, but would be the ultimate in luxury exercise bags. I don't know what the mat is made of. The name 'Dhanura' is related to yoga - I think it's a position?
I bought the Dhanura because I had seen one once and fell in love with it. I wanted it as a purse & I love the odd shape. It holds what I need to carry and because of the long zipper opening, you can see everything in it without digging around. It's never on eLUXURY and rarely on display in the boutiques, so you have to ask for it. It goes for about $1100. I saw one on eBay this week. It's the same color as mine - Mocha with titanium hardware and in like-new condition, and authentic, for half of what I paid. Do a search for 'Dhanura' to find it. When you buy these bags new they come with the shoulder straps, but LV sells the straps separately for $180. I assume to use with an ALMA?
