Default ~AmourCouture's Collection~
Until about 3 years ago I had never owned a single designer handbag. My grandmother had willed me some very adorable vintage bags that peaked my interest in branded handbags. After my 22nd birthday I decided to splurge on my very first Coach Handbag and Wristlet. I loved them for quite a while and ended up buying a few matching accessories. About a year later I jumped headfirst into Louis Vuitton after longing for one ever since the cherry blossom pattern came out. There is something incredible about a company that has been around since 1854 and used the same logo since 1896. I have been collecting bags and luggage ever since.

I have been a member for a little while now and I have been putting off making a collection thread. I was hesitant because there are so many incredible collections on here that I could only dream of having and I felt like I shouldn't bother. I changed my mind after taking some time to branch myself out and really start using the forum to meet amazing new people from all over the world and to offer my support where I could, especially in the eBay forum. What I have learned is that there are people from all walks of life here with hundreds of different interests...we just happen to share a love of handbags. In browsing through the forum I have discovered that there is such an array of interest in different styles, brands, colors, ect that range from everyday items to the cream of the crop. There really is something for everyone! What is truely amazing is how so many people's collections have evolved over time and to be able to see that using TPF.

So, my collection isn't the best, nor is it meant to be some sort of competitor to others. It doesn't have a huge array of different styles or Brands and it doesn't need its own zip code...but it is mine. I finally feel like it is ok to be proud of it. I want to thank everyone for sharing their story...and giving me the courage to share mine.

Default Goyard Steamer Trunk 1895-1915
This was my first really amazing find. I found it at a Chicago estate sale for $100. It has about 12 intercontinental steamership stickers, and on one of the travel stickers on the side there is the original owners signature dated in the early 1900's. It is a little beat up but the history and mystery that go along with it make it dear to me.

These are some of my favorite luggage peices. We travel often and they get pretty regular use, and I display them in our guestroom when they aren't in "action". I hope to some day purchase several Alzer suitcases, but these will do for now.

AWE!!! Thanks K...Yup...3 years and a ton of auctions and internet searches...estate sales...you name it. I am constantly loaning out my luggage...you have no idea. I actually have a bunch more to put up that are older and more worn but I needed a breather. I actually had a ton of my Vintage French Co stuff up on ebay a little while back but they all have a ton of travel wear so I was hoping to get them refurbished and relist but I am sure that will take an eternity. I have a Diane Von Furstenburg Set that I love and use as checked luggage (I have a hard time checking my LV). It is super cute and practical.
Glad you could be my first comment on my official collection!
