Thank you so much! I love the vintage...amazing that they come so far but never forget their roots! Red Croc is a big one. I need to have it professionally cleaned but I know it is a classic!

Isn't it GR8? I almost fainted when I saw it for $100. I tried to quietly explain to DH what it was while quickly writing the woman a check and loading it in my SUV before anyone else noticed it and started a war!

i love how you have so many classic pieces of LV, especially the luggage. and the Lucite bags...absolutely love them!!! i fell in love with Lucite bags ever since I got this picture book about the history of Handbags and it mentioned them being popular in the 50s. i don't have any but i'd always thought about it..hmm, maybe i should start stalking eBay! they're so gorgeous.

Thank you! The lucite bag's are not hard to find, and you can get some great prices on ebay for moderately rare ones. The super rare ones will go for 4-800, but most of mine were under 200. Just make sure you make sure there aren't any cracks, chips, clouding, smells, or warping because that is what gives it the value. Local antique galleries are great too, and then you can actually inspect them before purchase. I have a few of the handbag books to keep as reference for when I see something cool and I don't want to overpay. The best eBay searches come up in "Lucite Purse" but you can find a good deal when someone mistakenly lists it as Bakelite. I've seen some neat ones listed under "plastic purse" because people dont know what lucite is. They are great little bags

So after posting my collection I noticed that my small accessories are way too...well...brown. I got on the Bay this morning and decided to treat myself to a new accessory. It isn't on my wishlist but it was a great price and I know I will be happy with it. Hopfully she will be here on Saturday!
