Near the end of 2007 we downsized to a new condo closer to the city so we had to get some stuff to match the new lifestyle. We work as a team: I find the deals and buy the stuff, my wife uses it The object is to get nice stuff at a discount, here is most of what we've found so far this year.

This Prada hobo bag with pleated top is a favorite of my wife's because of the wide, comfortable strap and the buttery soft leather. I'm not sure if they classify this as a hobo or not, the model is BR3949 and it must be pretty popular because at the last big NM (Memorial Day) sale a lot of Prada and Miu Miu were marked down but this one was full price. We got it at a NM sale where you could get up to $400 off so, depending on how you look at it, we either got $200 off on the set or paid $60 for the Gaufree wallet. The wallet is red because there was not one black one available in any NM store in the country but my wife fell in love with the style. It also turned out to be pretty practical, they say a contrasting color in the purse makes it easier to find. I rounded out her outfit with sunglasses and a keychain for her car.

We go to Orlando twice a year and that involves a lot of hiking around Disney/Universal Studios. Since she decided her favorite style of the moment was Prada we got matching backpacks (a large for me, small for her). When we wear the backpacks along with our Thing1 and Thing2 shirts we make a cute couple

I actually bought 2 of these little bags, one for my daughter and one for my niece, but my wife decided to keep one for herself because, even though it is small in size, the strap is big enough to fit over her shoulder. She uses it when she just wants to go out with a few essential items. Don't worry about my daughter missing the bag, she got some really nice stuff to help her get over the disappointment

My wife abandoned me for a month to visit relatives in England. That gave me plenty of free time to wander around yard sales and look for deals. Here are 2 Dooneys, one my wife found before she left and the other found by moi. The expensive one was $2

She has really taken a liking to this Cole Haan. It screams out summer, it has huge straps so it's easy to carry and it even has a mirror attached to a leather strap on the inside. I'd buy that for a dollar

This Coach was a really nice find, practically perfect in every way. All it needed was a little cleaning with Apple leather conditioner. As you can see it turned out quite nice. You know you got a deal when the leather conditioner costs more than the leather

These bags have the Neiman Marcus logo on them. The one on the left came from a yard sale for 50 cents, my wife uses it every day now to take her stuff down to the pool. The one on the right was a free gift they gave for buying makeup during one of their sales.

I bought this LV Damier Alma with matching Damier French Purse wallet as my wife's coming back from England present. How I came upon this is a thread of its own in the LV forum, for the purposes of this presentation it will suffice to say that I got it at a substantial discount

Finally, we picked up this Michael Kors large Montauk bag at the MK outlet store. Not only is it nicer than similar Montauks we saw on eBay because most of those didn't have the outside pockets (last year's models?) it also cost Less!! As an added bonus we found a beautiful MK swimsuit yesterday at TJ Maxx so now I guess I have to start on her MK collection.

That's all for now but it is only May, we still have a lot of shopping time left in 2008

Wow you and Vlad are very nice photograhing your wife and fiance handbags! My husband threaten to put Louie, Chanel and others out to a garage sale if I were to pass on! Of course I would come back and haunt him forever!

Could you please crop the white around the images? These are way too big in dimension.
