Often, a high-price, coveted designer brand does not = quality and durability.

A while back I was staying with a relative, and during a mall trip he stopped at one of those kiosks that sell generic sunnies. There was a 2-for-1 deal, and he suggested I pick a pair and we split the price of the first one, so that each of us could get one at half price. More as favor to him, I chose the pair that looked best on me thinking I could keep it in the car and be more careful with the more expensive sunnies I was using at the time. Anyway, when I got home and compared the two, I noticed the cheap ones look better on me, so I started using them every day. Over two years later, this cheap pair--which I have thrown in my bags without a cover, worn on my head, at the pool, left on the dashboard, and so forth--is in near-perfect shape; I had to examine it just now against a light to find a few tiny marks. It's the best pair of sunnies I've ever had, and they cost me $12.

[QUOTE=redney;13172572]Me too! Add Target in the mix for me .

OP, this is quite common. In fact, there's a thread in the apparel subforum here on the PF where people talk about mixing designer clothing & accessories with low cost brands.

I love doing this..its too much fun to find a shirt/or whatever that's cute and inexpensive and mix it up. I'm all over the place..

I agree that the sunnies likely won't even be necessary in a suite. I've been to games in suites, and it IS totally different - and not for the better, IMO. As someone else mentioned, it is more about the schmooze than the game. I'd just as soon be in the stands having a good time!

I mix also, but I think I am an accessory snob, because I mainly use luxury accessories and regular and try to find the most cheap clothes to a certain degree. :)

I'll pay an outrageous amount for a pair of shoes, but I won't go over $15 for sunglasses. I lose them, break them...you name it, I've done it. For some reason I cannot hang on to a pair. So I get all my sunglasses at Target .

I went to a Redskins game in a corporate suite last year and sunnies were definitely useful. The suite had seats both inside and outside and faced west so the setting sun really caused glare. It will really depend on where your suite is, the suite design and the time of the game.

I wear both Coach and Chanel sunnies and love both equally! Buy the MJs if you like them.

I'm guilty of that too. Like I will see something super cheap and think well I should buy it because it's cute.
Then I worry if soon my whole wardrobe will consist of 10 tops and 20 dollar bottoms. Not that it's bad to buy cheaper things ( sometimes they can be better than designer anyways) but that sooner or later if I don't pay attention I will lose my unique style.

However I think if you like them you should get them.
