We Valentino lovers have always watched in the other forums the shock and sometimes outrage that occurs when designers implement their yearly, or sometimes bi-annual (ahem! CHANEL!) price increases.

But we have always been blessed with love for a designer who kept their outrageously expensive bags at a stagnant price.... Until now? for the past few seasons the rockstud dome has always been $1995. However, for the fall 2012 season, the price is going up $100 to a grand total of $2095.

Do you think this will become a trend for Valentino? Obviously rockstud bags are the fashion house's new cash cow. We've seen more newcomers in our little forum than ever before and majority of them ask about the rockstud. So maybe the increases will only affect that line? Who knows. Let's discuss!

I really hope that Valentino doesn't do a price increase....I am waiting for one of my favorites everyday bag to go on sale and I'll gradually work my way up to the Rockstud collection, but if they keep increasing prices, it'll be a bummer.

Well I'm hoping that if the price does go up I will find myself content with the bags I've already purchased!

In the grand scheme of things, when you're talking about a $2K bag, $100 isn't that much. I know we're all crazy to think that's acceptable! And really I don't pay too much attention to full retail price anyway because I always try to purchase things on sale.

Please....being an avid LV collector and a big fan of Chanel, I am used to increases!!!
One of the reasons why I moved away from LV and Chanel was because the prices were becoming obscene!!!!
