It's a school yearbook, not Maxim. I'm more appalled that her mom supports her putting these pics in the yearbook than of the actual pics. I mean really "mom"?!?

For those who have said who lets their kids dress like that..

I work in a hotel and the other day a female walked in and I honestly thought she was a hooker. She was wearing a full face of quite prominent makeup, really short skirt and what I took to be hold ups. I couldnt get a proper look without it looking too obvious but as I covertly studied her I thought I recognised her...

Turns out she was the daughter of a couple who regularly visit our company which caters to the public...and she was 16/17. I had met her a while back and thought she was dressed a bit too tarty for her age then but this just astounded me, and every single person I worked with.

Grown adult men were oggling her and her parents just let her sit on her own in a bar whilst they finished what they were doing...

So yep..it doesnt surprise me that the parents are allowing this and whilst I am all for freedom of speech and dressing, I personally think this is just a bit too much for a high school yearbook.

Yep, one of DH's uncles has two daughters who dress like that. In fact, he freaked out a bunch of people at our wedding by showing them photos of his (then teenage) daughters and complimenting the size of their breasts. They are now on their early 20s and still dress like that, bit what can you expect when nobody told them that women don't have to get all of their self-worth by how sexually appealing they are. I feel sad for them.

IMO, the pictures are not high school yearbook appropriate. I watched her interview on the Today show and she comes off an a spoiled brat who does not know how to accept the answer "no." And he mother does not help the situation.

That picture is perfect for a modeling portfolio, magazines, etc. But it is NOT acceptable for a high school yearbook. My thoughts are if you cannot wear that outfit to school, you should not be wearing it gracing the pages of a high school yearbook! Yearbooks are traditional that picture would be like trash in a yearbook.

That was standard for all my sorority pics in college. Actually it wasn't even a real top, it was an off the shoulder drape that you wore that looked like a top.

This is so true. What you see in magazines is not indicative of what real photos/portfolios look like for girls her age at modeling agencies. Agencies look for natural, fresh-faced girls. Speaking from experience with Detroit fashion agencies when I was a teenager.

I agree with those that say that the pictures are inappropriate for a high school yearbook. My opinion is that if her clothing choice in the picture violates the school's dress code then it certainly shouldn't be allowed as her senior picture.

Honestly, I'm just shocked that her mother is ok with her manner of dress & her poses in these pictures. My mom would have killed me if I even thought of going out of the house dressed that way.

We had a school photographer who pretty much told us how to pose, and if ours even allowed that he was a perv. lol. Was this midevil times? I don't remember year book photos as a free for all by just submitting private pics let alone wearung a tube top with a bare mid drift. If that's approved, then what's next? Ripped short shorts with cheeks hanging out.

Who knows, I think she's cute in the first pic (is it the same girl?) and could do well, but not appropriate for high school where there are kids as young as 14 sharing it. Save it for the portfolio or Facebook.

I must be really old too! I am appalled that her mother would even allow those types of photos to be taken in the first place, and then agree to let her submit them to the yearbook!

Wow....times must've changed ALOT. I graduated from high school four years ago, and I remember for our senior photos, we had to wear that awful, shapeless black graduation gown and cap. There wasn't even any posing per say because they only shot from the shoulders up.
