DOVER — An organized battle between two toddlers that police say was encouraged by three day care workers and videotaped has resulted in their arrest and the Dover center having its license suspended.
The 5-month-old incident came to light when a Dover police officer saw the cell phone video over the weekend and alerted detectives.
Two video clips of the incident total about one minute in length and were taken by one of the employees who was arrested, Stump said.
“It’s shocking, disturbing and infuriating to watch this video that shows the two children whaling on each other,” Stump said. “These are our most precious cargo and to have adults responsible for caring for their well being to have them behave as such is sickening.”
In the video, the adults are seen encouraging the two 3-year olds to fight it out while seven other children roamed around in the area, according to court records.
