Less cynical, more um...willing to question what I'm told is fact. But I've always been that way, ever since I was a little kid. I think I'm this way, actually, as a reaction against gullibility. I guess I'm from the school of, "believe half of what you see and none of what you hear."

I agree with Natalie's post. At least when it comes to gov't conspiracies, if you ever work for the federal gov't, whether it be military or intelligence, or whatever, you would realize that the gov't is not nearly as sophisticated as people think. Meaning, they barely have enough resources to do the crap they're supposed to do, not to mention creating these huge conspiracies. I think mostly they're funny.
I can see, and could possibly agree with, that point of view.

I guess in the end, I just think that there's a lot that 1) we don't know the truth about, and 2) we aren't being TOLD the truth about. It's just hard to say which is which, but on stuff like this I try to keep an open mind, which is why I could believe many theories, or disbelieve them. For me, it can go either way as well.

I understand what you're saying. I'm the same way but I believe that things are really hyped up by the media, for ratings, magazine sales, attention, etc. I've seen even the way even local media spins things and makes them more exciting for the story. I think overall, most things are boring, so they have to be hyped up to make exciting, especially in this day of Internet news and 24 hour news channels. They just don't have that much exciting news to fill up all that time, so some reporters/editors start to spin stuff. There's been so many stories lately of reporters losing their jobs because they exaggerate details, quote people who don't exist, or even completely make up a story. Now they could be compulsive liars already, but being under pressure to come up with a hot story probably doesn't help either. Maybe I'm too skeptical.

Well, since 18 of them are government related, one could assume that I am referring to those 18 and not the others.

Oooh I love conspiracy theories. Go to abovetopsecret.com if you want to get into some heavy stuff. Its quite entertaining, all about aliens, New World Order...some of it is just hilarious when they start talking about inter-dimensional creatures coming from the lower astrals to take over the world.
Also google Denver airport, it will freak you out. No lie, I had to stop looking at it.

I could have written this... except for the bolded sentence. In the last year or so I have opened. my. mind.

It's amazing what there is to be seen when one actually looks...... speaking for myself of course.

I googled it but what exactly am I looking for? The weird mural or the fact that the terminal is supposedly shaped like a swastika?

^^ I did the same thing and didn't notice anything unusual. I thought the mural was actually kind of cool.

I have a friend who is a physics PhD at Cornell... one of the most brilliant people I know. She absolutely does not believe we ever landed on the moon. She explained why to me and it defintiely made me pause.
